Stop the Ack hugging by....

Sorry bud, I believe im paying $30 a month to play against someone, not the AI. If I wanted to do that i'd be playing something else. If someone finds himself at a disadvantage he should either get a wingman or outfly me, not outdweeb me by running to an AI entity.

Fleet ack turns my framerate to hell so I dont even go near those things.

Flak at high alt against bombers is great, but AAA at fields and fleet is just plain ruining the game for me. I say, let people man the acks. At least that way you get some realistic gunnery from the ground. I wouldnt mind being shot down by a manned ack if someone ran to ack 'cause I'd know the ack runner wont get a manouver kill AND the player that manned the ack is helping his team by doing so.

Think about it. in field defense, wouldnt you man an AAA if it gave you perk points? help your  team? a buddy?.

Say NO to AI =)

I say Yes to AI Ack.

You don't like to follow enemy to the ack?
Fine. Then you should drag him away from there.
Once I followed a B-17 about 20miles to his field and when he landed I dived thru the ack and slaughtered him in runway with A-8

I guess that was quite unpleasant surprise

It's called strategy.  Some guys fly to live, and don't like to fight from a disadvantage.  If you don't like it, tough...find another fight.  I personally like to fight anything I run across most of the time (flying TnBers helps), but it's hard to argue with a guy that's doing something to increase his chances of survival.

If you're currently too much of a dweeb to follow him through his own ack and survive or to pick him off bellybutton he runs to the edges of his ack defense, then start practicing.  When a guy dives in through his own ack, and you're still able to follow and kill him, it is truely a beautiful thing.

Yah torque is dead on. The people with their precious perk point acquired planes will fly even more conservatively and we'll see a lot of hit from alt run to ack land climb up up up repeat.

Even more than now.

That's one thing about the perk system that's bad.

I don't know, perk points seem to accumulate much faster through suicidal furballing than flying to live will ever see.

Fly into furball at 500 ft, that way they'll all engage (except the ones circling at 20k, but they won't see you anyway).

If it's a problem of not getting what you want out of the game, these ack huggers are killable, and on your own terms.  It's the circling I want to live guys that get me frustrated.

Yes to AI!
No to Altmonkeys!
