I told your wife to keep quiet.  She only got shortchanged cause you were coming home early.   I'll make it up to her later.

About the same advice I would expect.  You are probably of the same school of thought as the "Why jump out of a perfectly good airplane?" softies.

I never listened to them, either.  :devil     Live a little.......

Edit:  (resisting urge to comment on "shortchanged")

Any luck Shifty?  Different machine?  Different of same results?

So you get normal movement in the Windows Control Panel calibration, just not in AH?  Have you tried placing the scaling sliders for the rudder input in AH all at say 10% across the board (10-100), remove damping and deadband and see if it has an effect.  Don't place any sliders all the way up to 100%, keep at 10%

Bug,

Yes I have done that as well. If I use windows calibration, or Saitek calibration the stick's movement is normal on the display.
In AH II no matter how I adjust the scaling, deadband, or even the dampning the only effect I get on rudder input is center/ full left /or full right, no scaling at all.

I deleted all the Saitek drivers and software from my PC and from my AH files several times  and reloaded them. It must be some kind of Vista thing.
This is the second X52 Pro that Judy had sent here with the same problem. On the positive side my rudder pedals are OTW so this won't be an issue much longer. Unless my rudder pedals do the same thing...

Have you tried the "old" saitek drivers?

The one I am referring to has the 3-D graphicical representation of the stick and throttle.

I had to go back to them cause the new drivers sucked (as far as I am concerned)

Unfortunately, I do not think you can get them from the Saitek site.

I will look for them here, at work, if I still have them.  If not, I definitely have them at home.

Have you tried not installing any of the Saitek drivers and software?  I run my CH stuff without anything other than the default Windows driver and use AH only to program it.

Yes, everytime I've removed the drivers I've tried the stick.  :aok

How high did you go with the dampening?

I have taken the dampening from full min to full max stoping and everywhere in between. As soon as the stick registers any rudder input it goes max to whatever direction you twisted it. Dampening and scaling have no effect. Everything else on the stick works as advertised, it's just the Z axis rotation.

One more thing is I assigned another axis to yaw. Then it works perfectly in that axis. Of course you don't want to fly pushing the stick forwards and backwards for Yaw input.  :D

I'm really flat out of ideas.

From that info, I would say you have a bad pot for the Z axis.

At least my non-pro has a pot for the Z axis.

The rest are hall-sensors.

Pray for speedy delivery on the pedals so you can get the "you will suck like a noob again" learning curve out of the way, A.S.A.P.

I never run out of reasons to suck like a noob. :aok

I figure while I'm learning my rudder pedals I'm going to break dwon and get used to my trakIR as well. I've had it for a year and turn it off everytime I start fighting. Figure I might as well flop around with both until I get used to them.

Well if it was a bad pot it would show in the Windows or Saitek displays.

When in Aces High if you alt-tab out and bring up the calibration page from Windows control panel does it seem to function ok then.

Weird problem for sure.  But seems others have had it, but no solutions.

That's the kicker, you can tab out look at the Windows calibration and it's perfectly normal, go to AH calibration and it spikes to full left or right no matter how minute you twist it.
