BBS wish

Here is a simple wish for the BBS. How about if a thread goes for 30 days without a new post it gets automatically locked? I know other forums can have this feature but have no idea about this one.

You know, I thought this one would go over well. It's way better than the other idea I had.

Actually it has some merit.

Would stop a lot of people trying to resurect dead threads.

But I wonder what else it would stop, or start.

Like a subcult of people going around punting threads just to prevent them from being locked?

I don't support this idea. Otherwise searching has no effect causing more and more threads to be started since the old ones (no matter how many there are) have all been locked.

Hello All,

Not being a smarty pants here but I do have a question:

If you can't resurrect an old wish and you can't start a new wish on a something wished for from an older thread, then won't the wish forum eventually be empty of wishes?  There are several posts that I have seen in older threads that are worthy of resurrection or reposting.  For example the DUKW post I put up a few days ago.
