Well, someone just bumped that He-111 thread, and I decided that it's been way too long since the last A-26 request.  So, here goes:

Now, as for why I think we should have this aeroplane next:

a) It came out in 3rd place in the vote HiTech Creations held, below the B-25 (first place) and the P-39 (second place).  We have had both the B-25 and P-39 added already, so it would make sense that the A-26 be added next.  After that, in my opinion the other planes in the vote should be added, according to what people wanted the most.  The results of that vote are in this thread:

b) It would be a very popular aeroplane amongst many players.  Whilst I am aware that there are a lot of people who want the He-111, the speed, survivability and firepower of the A-26 Invader would give it a very prominent role as a light bomber.

c) The A-26 is a good enough aeroplane in my view that it would be worthy of a perk point price.  If this were the case, it would give us all a much-needed way to spend our bomber perks (aside from the Ar-234).

I have shot down multiple fighters in the B-25H without using any gun turrets, and not only in HOs.  The A-26 is far better powered and more manoeuverable than the B-25 from what I've heard.

I couldn't agree more with that statement!!

The A-26 in the right hands could become your worst nightmare real quick!

This plane would have the potential to become a serious threat to almost every plane in this game! For its size its pretty damn manuverable, its fast, and has awesome firepower.

It is most certainly not a dweeb plane like the Tempest or "C" Hog , Punkstang etc. But it would merit a small perk until its impact on the game was determined.

Chances are if the A-20 driver runs into a player that is just as skilled or more so then he is, the fighter is going to win.  AnA-26 wouldn't be any different

I think the "key" words in your statement are "well flown".

I never said that an A-20 or A-26 would win every encounter that occured, and I don't think anyone else has either.

But that said, both of those planes should be approached with caution.
