Yeah I think in a 1 vs. 1 situation these were not a great weapon.  But if you can imagine a whole Staffel making a pass with these on a B-17 box, they were bound to hit at least one bomber.

Don't forget R4M rockets for 190F-8. Using 2 different warheads, they were employed against armor and aerial targets.

I used them once in MA and get kill with them. I got message about formation of 3 b17, they were still low. Got rockets, runned. Caught them not very high (about 17k). Was alone against 3, none apparently dammaged. One was bit out of formation, I got alt and virtical dived on it. I fired all rockets with salvo 1 at only 100-200 feet. Was lucky to get kill, though no idea how many of them hit target. Actually, I could get this kill with spit hispanos MUCH more easily, so never tried rockets again. As of now they are useless in a role of air-to-air weapon. Seems that increasing rockets range will help.

What? Just HO a bomber, at d800 fire the rockets a bit above its nose and dive away. Dead buff (I fire all rockets). Of course theres the problem of the d1.2 range buff guns, but still! *grin*

I love the LW rockets, wish they had more range before they detonated, but they are damn fun

Now I gotta learn how to aim the 10 rocks in the P-38.. those wont blow until they hit something hehe.

HT mentioned in the MA the other night that this issue has been addressed and range increased to 1200 yrds, haven't tested, so I dunno if he meant will be in 1.06 or already is adjusted.
