Yeah I know this stuff comes from an area where it's been traditionally produced for hundreds of years. It should be good.
They've made it around here for close to two hundred years. I've run across stuff that was "distilled" in a radiator, among other things. It's a shame too, because traditionally it has been good stuff. But you always end up with fools who take short cuts because they are cheap and lazy.
Big clues are ANY cloudy stuff, any film left when it evaporates, and any after taste.
If it is good stuff, and I hope it is, you're in for a real treat so long as you drink responsibly. But yes, the stuff will hammer you. And it can sneak up on you, too.
