Please map vehicle throttle and brakes to the same controls as aircraft throttle/wheel brakes.  Holding the joystick forward for those long trips will be a pain in the thumb.

Popeye, there are 6 gears (use LOOK FORWARD DOWN to see it).  Just keep shifting up until in 6th, after that all you need to do is steer.

I'd like to see the brake/throttle for the vehicles be able to be mapped to the left/right motion of rudder pedals.

Can this be done already without interfering with the aircraft controls?

Popeye how did you move the accelerator to the throttle?  How did you get that action off the joystick axis?
What I was doing last night was getting the vehicle at max speed and then jump to the gunner position and it would lock the accelerator in position and not slow the vehicle down. Till I jumped back and had to push the stick forward again.
Unless it should be this way?

And ditto for what Ivedog said. I could throw the switch on the Pro Pedals and use tham for a vehicle versus aircraft rudder control.

battle driving 1~2hours in that arena, stick accel control is bad for my health
(cruising good, but fighting and climbing hills bad)

i want throttle control like other games(PanzerCommander,PanzerElite)
and controlable gunner position for hide   body hilles and appear only turret.
controlable only driver pos is difficult to appear turret.

automatic gear is a bit better in long time driving.i think.
...real manual gear is also good

Personally I would like the vehicle throttle to be on the joystick throttle axis vice the joystick pitch axis.  Seems to me that a throttle should be a throttle.

Rudder steering might be nice, especially for a tank, but I can steer well enough with my joystick.

I think Selectable stick axis is good ,like other later tank games.

I want change like these,(same settings other games' default)

Joystick left/right:Steer left/right
Joystick up/down:Raise/Lower cannon
Rudder: Rotate Turret
Firebutton: Fire Main gun
Hat: Change View
other Buttons : Change view to crew members etc
Throttle:       Change speed

Why main gun control separated stick and rudder?

Because when I want to change fire "distance only",
In that case, Main gun=X&Y stick control is a bit difficult to raise/lower correctly.(error moving left or right a little)

Thx broken english.

Tank controls need sorting out in the game as lots in here have mentioned, Im a long time player of Micropose M1 Tank Platton 2
and that game had the tank controls very well done. For any one who has a HOTAS system they should be able to control the tank like this.

Thr Z axis = Thottle of tank
Joy X & Y axis = Turret Up/Down Left & Right
Rudders R axis = Tank steering Left & Right

Of course people should be able to map there controls as they like too, as I guess others would like there rudders to turn the turret and there joystick to drive the tank. Allready HT has fixed it so we can control the tank from the gunners view with our rudders, but in the drivers view this is disabled ???, I cant see why he would do that. In M1TP2 the above configuration allows total control of the tank in any views
and really this make controlling the tank very easy, I know its early days yet and im sure this would be easy to get out in a small patch.

We also need a small transparent display of our tank from a top down view this display would show us which way the turret was faceing in relation to the direction of travel and the turret would rotate to show us as we moved the controls of it, this also would be easy to do and could be put so we could have it on/off like the damage display can be toggled on & off.

One more thing the tanks need and is totaly off subject of this thread is a animated turret, at the moment the turret in the tank is always faceing forward when viewed from another tank, with out this animation of the turret, you are not able to tell if the enemy tank is bringing his BIG gun to bear on you or not, the first time you will know is when he fires a shell at you and it kills or disables you, also the tanks need a muzzel flash or smoke to show when they have fired.
