Hehehe, wow man. dude, I was just poking a little fun at ya.  let me rephrase it for you. I think your car looks great, would look even better if the wheels didn't look small in the wheel well. I'm not talking about 22's here... we all know those look like poop. Maybe 17's. Now, this is just my opinion, so it doesn't mean a whole heck of a lot.

I don't have a mini van though,  I have a full sized conversion van that we drive the kids in. Otherwise I drive a very tame Dakota. I'll look for pics of the van, though!   :aok

Midlife crisis vette... I've had it for about 15 years... I guess if you want to call it that you can.  :)

Here's a couple of pics, fire away!

As for my freakish retarded kid, there are actually 4 kids in the avatar.  My wife was pregnant with 6 but two didn't make it. This was after years of heartbreak trying to have children. It was tough to have two of our kids die. They were all born 11 weeks early and each one faced life or death illnesses in their first 10 weeks. The docs told us Brenna(the smallest at less than 1 and a  half pounds) probably wouldn't make it through her first night. Stacy was already too heart broken and tired to stay with Brenna so I stayed with her every second for the first couple of days, telling her that she had my blood in her and while my family doesn't always have it easy, we never quit, and that she was going to be ok.  Brenna made it and has the kindest soul you  could ever hope to meet. One of them is slightly autistic, can you guess which one? There, that should give you plenty of ammo for really personal insults.
If this isn't enough, our story will be on TV again tomorrow (Saturday the 11th) at 11:00 On Discovery Health Channel. It's called "The Bailey Multiples"

While working on the car one day, Stacy asked me to keep an eye on Brenna:

Steve,

We both know I sent you a PM im which I apologized repeadedly.  You choose not to answer me personally and put up a new post that completely ignores both my PM and my last public post.  Your choice.

Why would you TWICE quote my regretful post?  why would you repost my insults to your kids, which I have apologized for again and again, on TWO seperate postings?  :huh

Everyone makes mistakes, some admit to them, few apologize....

A: I didn't read your message.

B: It gave me an excuse to post pics of my kids.  Do you have kids?

pxdig I don't know you and I don't know Steve, so what I'm saying comes as a constructive thought to what I've read.

Steve is obviously not happy right now and chooses not to respond. You should leave it at that. What you said made me sick to my stomach and I admire Steve for not taking the low road in any response to you. I personally would have written pages about how despicable your comments were.

Steve is obviously proud of his children or he wouldn't be showing them off to all of us, and for you to attack them because of a comment about your car, an object, was just way beyond anything I would have ever thought I'd see in here.

Many times in these boards I have read things that have made me take a second look, and I just can't help but wonder what some of these folks are like outside the confines of our little world of make believe here. I don't know how old you are or what your life experience is, but I just pray to God that this isn't the way you would react to someone in a face to face issue.

I'm not trying to preach to, or lecture to you. I'm just telling you how I feel. Please don't take this as an attack on you, because it's not.

No haha, I understand. I've thought about it. I will be 20 by the time I get it. Never had any speeding tickets, wrecks, accidents, parking tickets, I was an A B student in HS and have kept been on the Dean's list every semester so far in college. Plus my insurance is with USAA so my premiums wont be very high.
I know what you meen, one of my friends had a Camaro SS in HS as his first car. He payed out the @55 until he broke it in half. He was luck to walk away from that.
I just love cars and my parents and I are looking at this as kind of a reward for doing well and motivation for continuing to do so. Plus after getting my bellybutton kicked next semester all semester for field training prep and then for 4 weeks 24/7 over the summer I think I deserve somethin more than the 700 the USAF will pay me.

know what could be fun?

one of their kits is the old ac cobra 427, but designed to use all the mechanics and electronics of a 5.0L mustang.
good handling, pretty quick, FI so it'd give ya decent mileage. only 2 seats and not much trunk though.

the key with this one, is that you'd be different, and not just another mustang, camaro, or corvette. i like them all, but hate being just another of the same ole same ole.
the base kits are pretty affordable, and fairly easy to build. had a customer built one a couple years ago. and he knew nothing about cars when he started.
and best of all......the pride of building your own car!
whatever your choice, though, good luck!

Let me give you a suggestions:  BUY AMERICAN MADE CAR.  Sure, you can get a Nissan or Toyota.  They have high resale value, good milage but, they are getting to the point of breaking down faster.  Cars like Ford last a hell lot longer and you will have a at least five Ford certified mechanic near by.  I am near Wichita, Ks.  We have one Toyota, Nissan and VW dealership and 10 Ford, GMC dealership.

uummm......nissans and toyotas ARE american made now dude.

dig, I envy you.

The reliability reports on the new Mustangs have been pretty good. The 3-year report on the 05's indicate no major problems.

I just can't afford 20,000-30,000 for a car. :(

Maybe I can find a used 05 somewhere....

mustangs have been reliable since day one. it's just that the old ones used to rust awa before anyting could break. :rofl

These guys had the Mk3 (blue with the white rally stripes) on display at the Providence R.I. airport over the summer. I was there to pick my son up and saw it. I almost forgot why I was at the airport. SWEET!

Steve,
Your kids are gorgeous, don't take any notice of that other dweeb ;)

SD and I also have lost a baby at 24 weeks so we feel your pain.

SD wants to come play in your pumpkin patch, he got all excited when he saw it  :rofl

Thanks Sarah! Who is in your avatar? Striking eyes.  Our show is on DHC right now... still weird.

Good eye, those are indded GS-D3's

Best rain tires I've ever had.  They're no better than slicks in snow or on ice and I consider them outright hazardous if you try to drive with them in even very light snow, but if you don't need all season tires then they're the best I've ever used.  Awesome dry grip and road feel, outstanding wet grip even in very heavy rain, quiet, long treadwear even with moderate driving, resistant to cupping or other uneven wear, and they stay grippy and retain wet weather performance even as they approach the end of their useful life.

I have all-season tires on my firebird right now but if I move where it doesn't ever snow, then I'll get another set of these (assuming goodyear is smart enough to keep making them).

Everyone I know, goes away, in the end.
