Nvidia users read this
« on: October 14, 2008, 06:33:28 PM »
hey people of the cartoon airways!!!!

i have been working on my system and have been aspiring to eliminate many various issues that i have been having. many here including skuzzy have offer me much advice and helpful hints, so i wanted to return the favor.

if you are using any Nvidia card you may want to check this web page  http://www.nhancer.com/

this is a program that goes much deeper into setting up tyour card and individual game profiles. it is compatable with many OS including Vista.

i would try to give a better desciption of what you will find, but i think that if you took a minute to look it over yourself you will see that without recopying the entire page here it wouldnt be possible to give a brief desciption.

so i hope this page will give back to some of you all the help that you have so willing given to me!

<SALUTE> and thank you

FLOTSOM

p.s. it is a free download, if you can please remember to donate to the site so they can afford to continue to aid those of us who could not do these things without their help. the donation box it at the bottom of the page.

i dont know, but it will help you make many more adjustments to your video and graphic settings. so i guess it would really depend upon your issues.

good luck and dont forget to post your results for good or for bad.

Flotsom,

Thanks for the lead but I installed it and my lines are choppy with this. I tried everything. Any suggestions. Lines on plane and ground detail not sharp and I have everything cranked. Nvidea GTX280

nHancer lags behind Nvidia driver updates by three to four months. The drivers you have currently installed may not be compatible with the latest release version of nHancer.

You have been warned.  :aok

have you downloaded the newsest nvidia update, its #173 something. it came out about a week ago.
if your having issues try adjusting the profile you have set up for aces high. that's the thing about the nhancer program is that it is very tweakable, don't use the nvidia preset game profile. it was established for aceshigh 1.something. it is a few years out dated. the nhancer will allow you to tweak that profile. just read the how to and help aids very carefully.

remember to check and make sure that your card is covered by this version and that you don't need an older one. he has older versions on his page if you need them.

good luck.

Nhancer is totally unnecessary.

If you set up your video with the settings shown here, you will get maximum results from your Nvidia card.

My drivers are 178.## and rather then add ANOTHER program to my system I just modified the profile for AH. My procedure was to delete the profile I had setup for the default installation and to add the AcesHigh.exe from my custom install and then to modify the profile along the lines of HomeBoys post. I also added one for AHFilm.exe so that it looks as nice as the game itself.

(Image removed from quote.)

used that set up when it was posted before. did not improve my sysrem as much as the nhancer does. but like people, each system is a little different and what works for one may not work for another.
