After the war, the 109's were built with Hispano-Suiza and later Rolls-Royce Merlins. These particularly smurfy-looking 109's were known as Buchons and are probably the most common airworthy version of the 109 today. They were built by Spain during the war under license but were mainly produced AFTER the war and were built till the late 50's and served till '65
And may I say they look hideous... nothing like the dedicated DB 109's.
