1st off, Thank You BaldEagl & TilDeath.......

Drdeathx, please re-read the following quotes:
with such a wide variety of Video cards on the market right now,

I would go no lower than the following for minimal specs:
256 bit
GDDR3
512 meg
GPU Clock: 625/650
Memory Clock: 1050/1100

by lower I mean:
128 bit
GDDR2
GPU: 600 or under
Memory: 950 or under

this last quote was just added for a view of what one might get with mear basics and a good card & Clean WinXP install with about 20/21 processes running
......granted my old AthlonXP2800 (factory clocked) with 1 gig PC3200 and an Ati X800XT AGP Slot 256 meg GDDR3 played very well with 1280x1024 screen res/using High Res Textures, with most every detailed maxed out and playing at frame rates 50 to 69 95% of the time......with preloading turned on......only being taxed during full launches in Scenarios and FSO's.......thru time it did start to get worse but I place that more on the CPU verses the video card.....

just a personal opinion here......

First of all 3.8 is an impressive OC for a 24/7 box just mind your temps.  What voltages are you running?  What is your ram rated at (latency, voltage)?  Do you have your ram voltage over volted or within the ranges stated by the manufature?  Did you OC your processor first get a stable OC then start on your ram?  Did you rum Memtest86 on your ram after a OC to see if it is stable?  Did you compair what your getting your CPU to OCwith other stable OCs, Mem same thing and MB? What temps are your components at?  I have software at www.overclocksource.com its at the bottom of the page may help you out some.  Choose your flavor.

i got my 9600 GSO for 63.00 off newegg. (same G92 65nm chip as 8800 GTS and GTX)

vs the 9600 GT which i think was a 256 bit card while the GSO was only 128 the GSO had 96 render processors which from what i was reading made it better then the GT

GPU and memory clock have everything to do with the card.

He said 256 bit, not meg.

Do you contibute to the brain surgery and rocket science forums too?

Now you're committing fraud by returning a card you destroyed.

Your reading comprehension is as bad as your choice in movies.  I never said it was incorrect and I think I know more about video cards and hardware then you'll ever know.  Next time you quote someone and try to insult them, make sure you have the comment in the right context otherwise you just look an arse.  My comment was answering BaldEagle's question as to why you...err I mean drdeathx can't post something constructive.  School is dismissed, you may now go home child.

A+ Certified?  Each sample test I've taken (2 IIRC), I've easily passed.
