More advanced sound
« on: November 28, 2008, 08:50:13 AM »
Downloaded tictok's sounds last night very nice indeed although why cant we have the more progessive sounds like il2 for aces high it seems very on off and in il2 its there seems to be a lot more tranistions between sound ie a damaged engine sounding progressively worse and then stopping. I dont really know too much about the technical side of how this should be implemented but i'm sure its not beyond the capabilty of HTC. I just think its a waste of some of the obviously talented sound guys on these boards too limit their scope and potential for modding the soundpacks  :aok

Yes I think we are singing off the same sheet trotter I think il2 uses a configaration file of some sort to activate certain sounds I'll have to check into it further to see how its done your right it adds a lot of immerison also was checking out a bob test on youtube and it has really nice effects like wind rush and buffet as your falling check it out. But aces high doesnt play all the sounds  :cry
