Arabian Knights are coming up on there 17th anniversary.
Who are the Arabian Knights?
In 1990, a revolutionary new WWI flight sim was released called "Red Baron". This game supported outstanding graphics, a fantastic campaign system, and an ultra-realistic (for the time) flight model. The one thing that was missing however was multi-player play. Many on-line arguments were fought over who the best Red Baron pilot really was, but with no multi-player capabilities, this debate was impossible to resolve.
In 1992 Sierra resolved this problem by adding a new service to "The Sierra Network" called Multi-player Red Baron. Finally we could put all the bragging aside and find out who the best pilots really were! About the time Multi-Player Red Baron was announced, a group of Red Baron fans on Genie banded together to form the first ever Red Baron Squadron. This group of pilots were dedicated not only to excellence in flying, but to upholding the chivalry that the famed WWI aviators were known for. This squadron, which took the name "Arabian Knights" went on to become one of the best known and most respected squadrons on TSN. Although many of the faces have changed, the AK's live on even today, and still maintain the same high ideals of Honor, Pride, and Dignity that were set forth by the squadron's founders way back in 1992.
We have been in 5 different games. Red Barons (retired), The Flying Circus (Retired), IL2: Forgotten Battles (retired), AH, and World of Warcraft which these two squads still live on. The AH squad consists of 34+ members. and WOW squad consists of at least 15+. In the Whole brigade we ave at least 120+ members, Some retired, moved to another game but still with us, or even moved on to the new life (in our prayers). I have joined this squad in 2005 and continue to help keep the AK's thriving along with many others in the squad.
