they didn't reinvent it. they did that on farscape. bsg just copied. :D

It was used in the TOS, so farscape copied them..

Looks like next week episode is going to have more info about Starbuck.  I wouldn't be surprised to see her storyline being tied into the 'other colony' in some way.  However I don't know how they are going to explain why her viper resurrected.

According to what Brother Cavel said when talking to Ellen, is that the technology for the resurrection ships is with the existing Cylon colony.  Could be how Starbuck came back after becoming a toasted bacon bit.

Technically they did kill her off, but she came back...

 :D

yea I was so happy but I could sense they were gonna bring her back from the dead. it was nice couple of eipsodes without her cheesin character. I dont like Roslin either, she needs to die already geez! :D
then again if I had it my way the show would be all about that xena chick and caprica 6 or whatever, but I guess I could just watch porn then eh.

Yeah, someone mentioned on the si fi boards that they will only be available 8 days after it airs.  The streamed version from si fi is frustrating to watch with my internet connection.  It doesn't download the stream fast enough so it pauses every 30 to 60 seconds to rebuffer the stream.  However the commercials always streams in without any problems  :lol, I don't understand why that would be....

I've been downloading from itunes to avoid using the streamed version they have.  The Itunes download has been consistant since the start of the season, better than before.  It used to be you would have to wait at least a day before you could download.  However this time around it's ready to download early Saturday morning...

Hauppauge WinTV-PVR USB2 will hook up with any version of windows and your cable to give you TV on your computer. You can set it to record a series and it will record every occurence. For some reason Newegg doesnt stock them right now but Amazon has them. With three of them and three separate hard drives you can record three shows simultaneously even while you watch a recorded show (or record two while watching one live). One hour of BSG comes out to a little over four gigabytes of space.

Oops even Amazon is OOS.  :cry
If you like the Sick Puppy Custom Sound Pack the please consider contributing for future updates by sending a months dues to Hitech Creations for account "Chalenge." Every little bit helps.

I hate to say it, but I can't wait for them to wrap this up. I had high hopes for BSG when it started, but it turned into a scifi soap opera.
My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives.
Stay thirsty my friends.

There is a big line between a soap opera and a drama.  I don't think Adama married Rosilyn's evil twin sister by mistake and then divorced her when he found out.  All along while the original Rosilyn was boinking Adama's son but was latter killed by Starbuck and was found out to be a Cylon when she was resurrected.  Rinse and repeat 12 times a season.

Anyways, since I'm on the cheap, I don't have cable.  When scifi.com first put the show on their site, they allocated more bandwidth to it then they do now.  Now its lower quality and a lower frame rate, which is irritating.  And they never put the shows up right away like others have mentioned.  Hulu is an alternative, but their video is more compressed and they again don't put the shows up right away.

The last few weeks I've grown tired of the 2 above and have started to use torrents again to download the shows.  Sometimes the torrents are available within 20 minutes of a show airing.  Generally their good quality and come in around 350mb.  Depending on the swarm, I can have the episode downloaded in less than 30 minutes.  Though a warning to those who try it.  Before yesterday, I've had no hitches on getting the show from torrents.  The show I downloaded was downloading media usage rights when I first opened the file, which isn't normal.  Then I got a popup from Media player asking to download a program to gain access to the rights to watch it.  So that was a delete immediately and a virus scan.  I found comments later on the torrent that others reported infection from.  I found another clean one and it was 720p resolution, took longer to dl but it was worth it.

I don't know if this has been brought up before, if it has I apologize.  I was watching the 1st episode again and I happened to notice something. If you watch the scene where Rosylin (sp?) is waiting in the doctor's office alone, in the skylight from right to left Serenity (the ship from the FireFly series) over flys the city. Makes me wonder if the same graphics studio did BSG as Firefly.
