Wmlute, I get lucky some days sir. <S> Grin
To everyone else, if you are doing any AH Job you better not go into it with the idea your going to get any kind of status, or money out of it. If you are, well AH doesn't need you. And your not doing yourself any favors.
I used to be a CM, sweat blood and bullets running big scenarios. Helped build FSO, etc. When I burned out I walked away. I did it to give back to AH, to help AH get its special events up and running. For several reasons that had nothing to do with getting anything back for me. And everything to do with making AH the best sim experience to be found.
All this is true for the Trainers Corps only times 10.
There are thousands of folks out there who would love to be a trainer. Right up until they are one.
At which point they'd burn out, melt down, or get so corrupted by power they'd have to be booted by HT.
Much like the CM Core tis a mostly thankless job, with hours and hours of effort expended and very little to show for it.
There is a reason out of all the people who fly and who have flown AH there are only 12 trainers.
Truly any sane person who understood what was going to be involved would never want the job.
As for those who help out in the TA on a regular basis we ask only a few basic things.
1 Treat everyone with respect.
2 Be absolutely sure your giving out the correct information.
Use the trainers site as a reference if you must. But if you really want to help, don't teach bad habits, or wrong info that we will have to fix later please. Also don't teach your opinons, or force your preferences onto him.
3 Defer to trainers if there is one in the arena. Nothing puts me in a foul mood faster than some 3 month wannabe jumping into a conversation between me and the person I'm trying to help, filling him full of BS and wrong info.
