Anyone watch it lastnight?  Rampage came out strong after training with the "Wolfs Lair" in the UK, he KO'd Silva about 3min into the first round, caught him with a left and just turned his lights off.

Mir just dominated Noguera, he knocked him down a couple times in the first round, in the second round the story was the same, Mir knocked him down again but this time he finished him, it was the first time anyone had KO'd Noguera in his career.  So Mir will face Lesner for a rematch of their first fight to determine the Heavyweight champ.

Then in the last match Griffin vs. Rashad Evans, first 2 rounds rounds were a good match, hard to say who won, but in the third Evans knocked Forrest down and jumped on him, after that it was over, he just keeped pounding him, the ref stopped the fight, so Evans still goes undefeated, and is the new Light Heavyweight champ.

Dissapointing for me, EVERY fighter I wanted to win lost last night, not to say they weren't good fights, just didn't go my way.  The silver lining now is that I get to see Lesnar kick the guts out of Mir in a few months.

I've never bought a UFC PPV in my lifetime, and never plan on doing so.  I consider it to be an enormous ripoff, the main fight could end in :30.  You'll spend $50 to watch possibly one great fight, with two-three mediocre bouts, and a few abysmal fights.  

Not to bring about racial things, why do the African American fighters growl and bark like dogs?  Rampage Jackson does it all the time, as well as rappers, etc.

I hope Rampage gets fined, there was no reason for him to continue to strike Silva, he threw 2 more blows after the ref had made contact with him to stop.  I know there is bad blood, but the UFC needs to protect its fighters, he was clearly knocked out and I felt it was uncalled for.  I found it to be disgraceful, but I hope he knocks Evans out cold, his antics are even worse.

It depends on the card. Boring fighters like Yushin Okami get shuffled to the undercard and aren't seen on TV unless they pull off something spectacular. Sometimes it ends in 30 seconds. Sometimes it'll go 15 or 25 minutes.

On an interesting note, this was the first UFC without a submission since UFC 9.. which was in the 90s I think.

I will usually buy all the UFC fights, I have rarely been dissapointed.  Even when things don't go "my way" it is still pretty incredible to watch what these guys do, and the level at which they do it.  My son loves them, and we love to watch them together.   I will not be getting the next pay per view, that looks like a pretty weak card.  The UFC brass needs to reconsider their charges for non-title fight cards.  Franklin v. Henderson is not something I am willing to spend $45 to watch, I would drop about half that for it, but not full price.

The biggest advertised fights always seem to go the shortest, like if Couture/Fedor ever fought, it'd go about :45 in the first round.

  good fight cards do make a difference. Fraklin vs henderson, yeah might skip that one.

Couture-Sylvia was hugely advertised, and went all 25 minutes. I think Penn-GSP is going to go at least 20. Just depends on the fighters and their styles.

I think Penn V GSP will be a war of attrition.  Can't wait, I love both fighters.  BJ has looked great at lightweight, I hope he brings the same work ethic to this fight.  GSP is a stud and a class act all the way.
