Why does anyone care if their gaming the game for score. The score thing is stupid anyway. People know who the good sticks are and score doesn't tell that. So I say let the building killers kill their buildings.
duhhhhh
For example the guys that do play the scoring game in a honest way?
And even if you don't care for score yourself doesn't mean you don't care for someone setting bad examples.

You'd have to resort to the same tactics to do it.  The slime would be impossible to wash off afterwards.

Meh, if you dont care about a problem, then why post about it.  People care about the score system for different reasons and most can agree that there are some problems with it.  If you dont care dont post.

For example, say there was a serious bug with the Spit16 and people who fly the spit16 want it to be fixed.  I hate that plane and have never flown it.  It would be like me coming into that thread and saying "get rid of the plane altogether" or "who cares that it is messed up since it's a n00b plane anyways"  Wouldn't be very productive would it?

Honest way?

I assume that would mean no spawn camping, strat milking etc.

That would include an awful lot of people.

I don't think we will ever see scoring in its purest form in this game.

There will always be milking, camping, and hunting specific targets to get a better hit% etc.

I think the Idea of having a "Plane only" arena is a pretty good idea.

Having a alt cap and no base taking would be alot of fun for those inclined to that type of game.

Don't get me wrong, the scoring system is flawed, and it would be nice to see it perfected.

But for every better mousetrap, there is always a better mouse.

And KOSTIC, as far as not bringing up individuals, maybe you haven't looked closely enough at this and past threads on the subject.

Even if the individuals name isn't actually said out loud (but it usually comes up) then it is made so obvious ,there is nothing left to the imagination.

To keep this productive I'm interested in what you think is "scoring in its purest form"?
Yes some peoples names have been brought up as you suggest but only to illustrate to the problem in the scoring system.

If you read my quote again, you will see that it is the very question I asked when responding to Lushe, before I started rambling on!!

all true,  however how many times is this going to be a topic when it will never change. Do people stop hoing, ramming , running to ack etc etc etc. I see the text buffer light up with no end in site about these things. These people will never change and will find new ways to tweak the scoring system. It's their loss but it's also their $15. So as long as the system stays the same so will their game play. All I'm saying is this topic is a waste of time (imo) Most here will claim that they use the scoring system to see if their improving from tour to tour. I would speculate that it has more to do with testosterone levels than anything else. Oh yah one more thing.... my $15 is also as good as yours so I can post my opinion anytime I want, just like Bronk can.

While SkyRock is making a joke of this, he has a valid point.
Oh, and what he posted earlier where not scoring metrics (pure or impure), but mearly arena play suggestions.
Unless you have something productive to say go troll some other post.

I was pointing out a reason that was already given to his question. Sadly he missed it or he wouldn't have asked again.
His problem he didn't like me pointing it out. Why it's your problem I have no idea.

Folks not interested in score have it shoved in their face when they log on to the AH website. They are not going to the boards to see that info. Now when interest is peaked they might check to see just what that score consisted of.

Just last night in MW there was a pony squad bragging how wonderful they were. They kept on and on so finally I looked at their stats...

There were only 2 of them mouthing.... one had 2 kills and the other had 1. These boys were flying at 20 to 25K in MW.   I bet they were a great aid to their country. :rofl
