LOL who coaches/plays defense on OSU?  No back side coverage at all when Texas is in the Red Zone (or near it)?

I watch very little football. However I watched that game and was pulling for Texas. I don't think I have ever seen a game where momentum changed from moment to moment. I mean here you have OSU in charge for the first half, then Texas looks unstoppable, then a few minutes later OSU is going to win and wham Texas wins. However, as little as I know I was stunned by no back coverage, just stunned. In fact didn't they show blitz. It was an exciting game to me though.

favors by 17.

Somebody did them 17 favors?

and they just got be with 16 sec..

What did they be?

i will give created to Ohio state

What did you create that you're giving Ohio State?

and proving them self's.

Proving what, their coach can't win bowl games?

The OSU football team played great. I think their coach lost the game for them.
You could not have asked for a bigger gift horse than the defensive set they had when the Longhorns scored the final TD.

Was a good game to watch....never knew for sure who was gonna want it the most.
Dunno what Mack Brown was thinking in the first half, but keeping McCoy in the pocket and not using his running ability was not smart and almost backfired on the 'Horns.
McCoy himself I have mixed feelings about.  Flashes of brilliance, then he appears to get flustered and throws a red zone interception.  Then comes out in the second half and plays very well, runs just enough to keep the Buckeyes guessing and offbalance.  Not sure what the deal was with the Buckeye DE (Gibson was it??), but he seemed to have a personal issue with McCoy.  Forearm to the head, then the last penalty....his helmet hit McCoy under the shoulder pads, but that right arm in the back of McCoy's helmet was what got him penalized IMO. Plus McCoy had already thrown the ball and the DE was several steps away and could have pulled up.
Terrell Pryor may have shown us what lies in store for college football in the coming seasons.  He is raw and young, but he reminded me of Young (Vince) the way he scrambled and made people miss or just outran them.  Give him some more playing time and he will be a force to be reckoned with.  I'm already looking forward to seeing how he does against mighty USC next year on his home field, with some valuable experience and playing time under his belt.  Give him some additional weapons to work with and Ohio State might be a true threat for a national title in the next 2 or 3 seasons.
Anyway....enjoyable game overall.  Exciting finish there, glad Quan Cosby was the one to make the winning TD catch.  All in all, the second best bowl game I watched this year, with Utah taking it to 'Bama being the tops so far.
Now, just gotta wait til Thursday night, hope I get off work in time and can catch the OU-Florida game.  That one should prove to be another good one, unless Oklahoma turns into Choklahoma again in the big game.  They are without Murray, don't know if the other RB's are up to the task of getting the tough yards on the ground the Sooners will need to open up the way for their passing game.
Time will tell........... :aok

I have to say that that game was the most horribly produced and televised sports broadcast I have watched in a long time.  I don't know what part-timers Fox Sports had in the truck but they must have been a bunch of interns.

It seemed like every other play was missed because they were showing the reply of the prior play and the Texas hurry-up offense confused them.  Then the talent would be talking about a particular player and the camera was showing us the wrong player.  And why did they need to show us the bands playing after every play?

No secret Im a huge Texas fan....

McCoy finished the season with a 77 percent completion rate. He was the leading rusher in the game last night and I believe for the season.

Cosby had 171 yards receiving last night.

If.....The bowls were played 1 week after the season you would see better play out of every team I think. 5 to 6 weeks off for any team leads to possible let downs. Sure it gives the coaches time to prepare and all but teams play on rythm.

Texas looked at BEST only fair in spots....OSU looked Fair in spots. Each team was off thier games IMHO. OSU Blitzed like crazy and tackled great but couldn't get enough offense to keep Texas off the field....Then Texas would look great and screw up.

McCoy was a heisman runner up....Orakpo was defesive player of the year winning lots of awards...

The time off IMHO affected both teams....

ANd last I saw the spread WASNT 17....it was 9....

I only watched the last 6 minutes of the game, did they have 35 analysts on the field doing stupid reports?  Like, the one I saw in pre-grame for the Cotton bowl and this female* reporter asked Ole Miss's or Texas Tech's (don't remember who) QB and WR who had more Facebook friends.  WHO THE F@#$ CARES, THIS IS FOOTBALL.

*Not being sexist, but that reports had no business or experience in sports before, obviously.  And if she did, she's there only as a pretty face apparently.

Agreed Eddiek. My son and I were baffled by this as well.

Texas' "chance" went when Crabtree broke a tackle....at least according to the BcS computers...

Florida beats Bama badly....1 loss early....and beat better teams....

Oklahoma loses by 10 late....then runs every score up...they when the style points war and become number 1.

Texas didn't lose thier shot at a national championship last night....the lost it in Lubbock and to a F'ed up BCS system.
