So that's where my stash went...  :D

Duuuuuude! The world's oldest stash of marijuana has been found in far western China, according to an article in the Journal of Experimental Botany.

In seriousness, they've found cocoa in ancient Egyptian mummy wrappings. Which wasn't found anywhere outside South America at the time.

The writing style of that article suggests that its fake.  Or at least they allow someone to worse poor journalism in their website articles.  Well, to think about it, its not partically poor, they're probably trying to garner a higher bandwith with catchy slang for the users of the illegal substances.

~EDIT:  A quick Google, and Yahoo search apparently confirms its validity.

Marijuana has been found in many archaeological sites in many cultures.
It's uses have ranged from shamanistic to therapeutic inclusive of some evidence of recreational.
I'm really not at all surprised by it's appearance in some burials.

Yeah thats what they all say. But they all really just wanted to get high.

Which is cool. Strictly between their Shaman and them.

Isn't there evidence of ancient orgiastic enhancement use of Marijuana? I heard of a sight where they also unearthed LP records and players, bell bottom jeans, and entire ancient head shops. :uhoh
