There is no favor... What you see is what you get. If you do not touch on your end there is no collision.
If he hits you on his end he takes damage.

You can not take advantage of the collision model.

I'll post pics if you like.
Thanks for the info :aok. not trying to hijack thread, but why do I get a "you have collided" msg when Im in buffs?. Clearly the fighter is the one doing the ramming. Its happend a couple times and next time I have to remember to film

"You have collided" is not a judgment about who's intent or fault it was, or who is responsible for it. It just means there was a collision on your screen.
If there was a "you have collided", but no "XY has collided with you" at the same time, he technically didn't ram you at all, as on his screen there was no collision. See the various collision threads on this topic, go to http://trainers.hitechcreations.com and read "how lag affects aces high"

Who flies heavy spits?

You missed the point.  Weighting ordinance hurts the Spitfires in this kind of lineup.  Otherwise they would be even higher on the list.  Read more carefully.

Anaxogoras,

I looking at that list I doubt you are weighting speed anywhere near enough.

Karnak, do you want to suggest modifier numbers?  Here are the categories.  Each one should be assigned a number above zero, decimals are ok, and they should add up to 22.

Speed at sea level
Best TAS below 10k ft
Best TAS above 10k ft
Climb at seal level
Climb at 10k ft
Climb at 15k ft
Turn rate
Turn radius
Turn radius with flaps
Primary lethality
Secondary lethality
Primary firing duration
Secondary firing duration
Primary muzzle velocity
Secondary muzzle velocity
Flight time
Ordinance
Roll rate
Cockpit visibility
Dive acceleration
Energy retention
Level acceleration 200-300mph

I hate this plane too, especially when they come at 15K with a friend, then what do you do?

First ya die...then ya get a "friend" and come at "them" from 20k.   :t

Pffft.

Well Bronk, show me your proof it's not overmodeled. I have film of the things flopping about like a gutted fish to avoid my .50 cals. Show me somewhere in just one WW2 combat film this was possible. That's what I mean by "silly". I know very well how the brits feel about their beloved spitfires because of the historical aspect of what it did to save the UK during it's darker hour. But that has nothing to do with the AH2 spitfire. And that's what we're talking about here.

And if you don't think it's easy mode... :lol well I'm sorry you're having such a hard time grasping the flying part in the game and maybe you should start out in a A6M or Hurricane. :D

Lighten up Francis

Here's a new list sorted with these modifiers.  Once speed is weighted more heavily, the La-7 moves up, but weighting speed at higher altitudes would not reflect the main arena.

The Spit-16. The biggest, "you fly it I dont and your a dweeb and you suck" airplane we got. :lol

Actually maybe I should fly it more. Its a great airplane, tho you run the risk of a 16yo calling you a "skill-less dweeb".

Boy theres an awful lot of kills in it for nobody to ever fly it. :rofl

Well Bronk, show me your proof it's not overmodeled.

No need to ... most of us take stock in the fact that HT, and more importantly, Pyro have done their job(s) in researching and collecting the required data. HTC probably has one of the finest collections of WWII aircraft data in the world. I feel more comfortable relying on these guys to do their job than I do for someone who can only come to the table with anecdotal evidence. If you think something is totally out of whack ... then bring the supporting evidence to the table.

I have film of the things flopping about like a gutted fish to avoid my .50 cals.

I have films of ALL the AH aircraft doing this ... this phenomenon is not exclusive to the Spit(s).

Well Bronk, show me your proof it's not overmodeled. I have film of the things flopping about like a gutted fish to avoid my .50 cals. It's called stick stir. All ac can and have done it when flown by noobs.Show me somewhere in just one WW2 combat film this was possible. That's what I mean by "silly".Irrelivant.. I have pointed out all ac can. I know very well how the brits feel about their beloved spitfires because of the historical aspect of what it did to save the UK during it's darker hour. But that has nothing to do with the AH2 spitfire. And neither does your hyperbole And that's what we're talking about here.Yes spouting hyperbole appears to be the topic...you'll do well.

Before the 16 it was the La7.

Something else I've learned in AH over the years is that even the oldest of players often sound like a "16yo". :)
