F6, Never ever will forget it. I flew with some squadies who had been playing the game for a while, guys I knew from AW but haven't really flown with since they were on different sides. Anyway I started to get b and z'd by 2 p51s. I wasn't use to the way the f6 flew in AH but I fended them off for about 15 minutes. Even managed a few pings. While this was going on I was calling for help from my squadies. I could see them a mere 2.5k away. As I fought I could see them going even further away. Never received any help from them and eventually I was worn down to the deck and finally either was killed or crashed. Man I blasted them afterwards and left the squad.

P-51 because it was supposedly the premier fighter of WWII. Soon I would find out it's limitations in this game. Crashed several at first trying to learn to land.
I always wanted to fight an impossible battle against incredible odds.

Warbirds versus Aces High Duel.

I remember we were in this giant bowl in the mountains. I don't remember the aircraft type we were in.

Me an Dobs waded right in to the fray and all the WB's pony drivers went high looking to Bnz. They didn't understand the cardinal rule of 10 v 10, the first kills determine the fight so they hesitated and we lost, badly.

Aces High has a higher caliber of skills on average I think but Warbirds guys tended to have better headwork, the exception being pony drivers. They seem to be rather dull witted no matter the game.

Anyway...that was my first Aces High sortie. It was several more years before I quit Warbirds and switched to Aces High.

P-40E, after dying about 100 times, got it all together, went to about 15+K, can't say exact, but very high, dove on a furball, actually got a kill (very lucky shot, or proxie... who knows), and of course, locked up and augered. It was a blast, I re-upped and went right back at it.  :lol
