You are absolutely right.
HiTech is not interested in making ACES HIGH as realistic as possible, even in the small things. That is why when 2 or 3 guys complain about their 109 or 190's having wings 1" longer in real life, HT fixes it. Or when someone else says that the ammo load is off by 10 bullets it gets fixed.
One of the reasons Aces High is so popular and has earned the respect of the simulation community is that HiTech changes inaccuracies that at times seem insignificant, but ADD to the realism. Sometimes they do it on their own, and sometimes it takes a few to point it out. Sometimes they find little details and send out a patch to fix it. Sometimes its as simple as color markings or a sound file.
Pivoting on 1 wheel is different than tearing up a tire.
- All we are saying is that in REAL WWII planes, you can apply full brakes and do a full engine throttle/RPM check without going anywhere.
-All we are saying is that in REAL WWII planes, you could pivot your plane on one wheel and minimize your turn radius to the space between the wheels.
It may not be a big deal to those who just want to get up there ASAP so they can engage enemy and rack up points, but some of us do take great pride in landing our kills properly, or taxing to the fuel pad without having to use a 50 foot radius in our effort.
It is just one small thing that HiTech can put on its list of things to get to in the future. It's not a DEMAND, its just a suggestion.
