well i have never managed to shoot down an entire formation in one pass......or in multiple passes come to think of it. but if i still had the film i could one up all of ya! how many of you have managed to collide with all three planes in the formation and one of its escorts in one pass?

huh new it! none of ya! you dweebish amateurs!

i burned into a formation of bombers (26's i think) at wing creaking speed and as i approached they turned under me closing my passing distance. as i tried vainly to pull out of the dive,  managing to get my nose just level, i clipped the top of the nose of the closest bomber bounced forward and up i hit the top of the fuselage of the middle bomber (now in a staggered line due to the banking turn the formation was making at the time), losing my wings i then rolled (yes rolling head over azz) down the body and being flung off and right into the tail of the third bomber. the impact of this third hit tore off my tail and bounced what was essentially just a cockpit with a bent prop into the air behind the bombers and directly into the path of a 51, flying escort for the bombers. he had dove in, in an attempt to intercept me when i first began my attack run on the bomber formation. he wound up with what remained of my 190 in his cockpit killing him instantly and blowing up his ride.

i had 4 collide messages and a kill for the 51 pilot.

the bombers i believe were piloted by oldman or old"something", the 51 jockey was a numbers guy. i no longer have the film because of the update in AH2 that wouldnt let me play my older films. i dumped all of my older films because i didnt know there was still a way to play them. it sux cause that film was awesome, funny as sin, definitely worth watching 2 or 3 times.

3 24s in 1 pass with a yak9U.. swear to god I only hit each one time but all 3 caught fire..  I fired something like 20 20mm total and flew off and waited for them to pop.  havent had that good of luck since.

I dunno why but I dig this screen shot. I've never managed 3 in one pass, I think it would be tough to pull off in an MG only bird. I bet some guys flyin cannon birds have done it though. Anyone? Screenies?
(Image removed from quote.)

I've done it too many times to count in the 190A-8 and the 110G-2 (3 in one pass that is).

well like I said, I think it would be tough to pull off in a MG only bird.  Do you have a screenie one of these too-many-times-to count passes?

I think it would look cool.

No because I never film but I'll try to get one over the weekend.

As a practice there are two efficient methods of getting three on a single pass.

The first is to pull alongside the buffs and slightly above about 2K off their wing.  Roll into them and as they continue forward you will come in aligned with the drone and the lead buff.  Take the drone and the lead in-line, then turn for the final drone.

The other way is a little more dangerous.  Come in from almost co-alt six crossing slightly from right to left to force the gunner to lead.  Take the left wingtip of the left drone first then align on the right wingtip of the lead buff.  As you do the right drone will cross across your gunfire as it moves to the left giving you near simultaneous kills on the drone and the lead buff.  Obviously, if the guys a good gunner this one's tough as it requires you to reduce closure rate and sit in the gunfire for a few moments... not for the weak of heart.  The caveat is that as the right drone moves across the lead buff guns get temporarily interrupted so if you get that far you're golden.
