The people have spoken...

..and they said they wanted higher quality in my realplayer movies.

 So I made one...

This one is a ME109F - a seldom used ride in the MA, but in real life was a great plane for its time period in the war. I spliced in some WWII gunfilm with this one, theres one shot of AH footage and WWII guncam footage of a B17 being bounced spliced together. I kinda felt uneasy about that part the first time I watched it. No disrespect is meant.

Many thanks go to Kep & Wlfgng for helping me out with this one!

Its 12.6 meg in size.

Good god these movies are nice.

How do you make them?  Is the software to do so freely available and such?  I've got a tune in my mind and would love to dub some nice bomb-raid footage to it

Another question:

Your gameplay looks very fluid and smooth...much more choppy here, what kind of system and video card are you running?  I mean wow...P3 800s CPUs are in the $200ish ballpark, I may just have to have one and a obscene video card to boot!

Very Nice!!

I didnt know the 109F packed that kinda punch! Its knocking down buffs right and left with what looks like very little amount of ammo. Hmmmmmmm looks like Im going to have to  look into a little 109F flying

I like the higher quality picture in this film.  And I like the cutting back and forth between AH and real film when chewing up the B17.

But, you should try to incorporate more camera angles... get some external views of your 109, look around more, zoom in zoom out.  Also, don't pulverize those buffs until they explode.  Knock a wing off or something and then turn over on your side and watch them plummet to earth.

There's one in there at dusk where you do that in it looks awesome.

Actually Milinko I didn't mean that just thought that a Squad logo and credit roll for film would be cool.

Thanx fellas! Glad you all liked em.

LLBM....

I was carrying gondolas
--------------------

Sancho...

I was going to try to get more exterior shots in this flick, but as always, it was 3am when I finally got the movie close to being done, and I just went ahead with what footage I had already taken. This was a looong movie (5 minutes) and it's pretty hard to keep good action in all of the 5 minutes.

My squad are working on a P47 jabo flick right now. After that I plan to do a B17 bombing run. I have goozles of historic footage on B17's.

Lepaul....

Making the films is pretty complex. There's one thing you have to have, a video card with a video-out and video-in port. They generally cost about 200 bucks. Its more
or less a modified 3d card. Mines an ATI All-In-Wonder 128. After you get
the card, there's several things you gotta do....

For the video:
You'll have to hook up your vcr to the video out port. Record your sorties onto
videotape. When you've got all the videotape you need, you'll need to use an
editing program. I used CAMTASIA. Its a free download off the net, and works
like a dream. You use it to splice all your shots together. You'll need to
have your song picked out that your'e going to use while your'e editing your
video (so you'll know exactly how long to make the video), making it match
the length of the song. Your video will be in AVI format now.

For the audio:
Your audio will have to be in WAV format, if you have an MP3 (like on
napster.com) you can download WINAMP (another free download) it is the only
software that I know of that will change an MP3 to a WAV file.

Ok, now you got your video the same length as your audio. To combine them
together, i used a program called DUBIT (yet another free download) to
combine the music and the video. After you've done this, you have a kik butt
looking video complete with music. The only problem is the beeeaatch is your
AVI is anywhere from 200-800 megabytes. Waaaaay too big. You'll need to download REALPRODUCER (free again) off the web. This will compress your 200-800 meg AVI into an .rm file (realmedia) that is ideally 15 meg or less. Its then ready for the web.

As far as my system specs, just 800mhz CPU, 32 meg ati video card. The videos are all shot in 800X600, as this is the highest resolution the video card can run in "TV" mode, that might explain some of the fluidity.

Gotta give credit to milenko, he pioneered this stuff.

Torque, I was gonna do that too, but it was way late, and I didn't feel like it, will in the future though
