Any and all, pick and plane and stick to it. I highly recommend you stop by the Training Arena and check out the training forums here on the boards. If you can I would even try to arrange some 1v1 time with a trainer or a vet willing to spend some time with you, it will make a world of diffrence.

There isn't. Pick a plane you like for it's history and stick with it.

I second what Husky said.  You will learn more in 1 hour with a trainer compared to 1-2 weeks in the MAs on your own.

The spit 8 and spit 16 are about the easiest to fly, and fight with. Even a beginner can get kills with them, won't make it home with the kills, but thats a whole different lesson  :D

The best advice is like other have said. Pick a plane you like and stick with it. Hunt for info on it, how it handles, its strenghts and its weaknesses. Learn everything you can about. Get with a trainer and have him help you with it. You WILL spend weeks if not months getting your butt handed to you in it, but in the long run you will learn a lot more about the game and how to play if you do it this way.

The Spit 8 is probably the easiest to get kills with. I find that anything short of an 8 kill sortie with the Spit 8 is a little light.

Good guns, good speed, turns very well, climbs very well and is quite forgiving.

The only thing that sucks about it is the roll rate. A bit of rudder helps, though.

Motherland is right about about picking a plane for its history and sticking with it, though. It's more rewarding that way.

I love 109s and fly them most of the time. I love everything about that aircraft.

no way!  Youre dead on, I'm a 109 junkie too, although they take some getting used too, maybe not the best for fresh meat.

the 109s fly like a dream but most of them don't carry alot of ammo...although they would be a good first lesson on ammo conservation...

I love 'em so I'd suggest them

Most people jump into a Spit16 or P51 first, spit16 being the easiest to fly, P51 being the most well known. Then they transfer to the Lgay7 (LA7) when they get up to speed on things.  Personally, I'd start in a Spit8.

Spit 8 or 9 is the best starter plane but if you pick it for the pro aspect like specializing in it You will get so many kills that you will love it

and in respect to Archias It isnt light if u dont rearm. spitty fire power needs its 20s If u just get 4 kills at a time thts a decent thing

Welcome to the game.. Try a couple of different planes and stick to the one that seems easiest to do what feels most natural.  Everyone flies differently.
