Text buffer relief...
« on: February 01, 2009, 01:31:30 AM »
How about giving players the option to not broadcast their kills when they land?

Well, figured with folks asking for more chest thumping via the text buffer....I would offer to make more room for 'em. :D

HURRY nurse, this man needs an injection of 10ccs of concentrated egoism STAT!
"Crikey, sir. I'm looking forward to today. Up diddly up, down diddly down, whoops, poop, twiddly dee - decent scrap with the fiendish Red Baron - bit of a jolly old crash landing behind enemy lines - capture, torture, escape, and then back home in time for tea and medals."

Egoism is the force that allows one to squelch thoughts like "I'm just a speck in a giant universe/What gives me more right to exist than X/Aren't we really all the same inside" so you can go about the business of poisoning that cockroach, slaughtering and eating that cow, testing that medicine on that monkey, grabbing that parking space first, and out-competing that other poor SOB with 3.5 mouths to feed for that job. :devil

As the philosopher Alfred Doolittle said, "I know I ain't deservin' guvnor...but I eat as much as a deserving man...I drink alot more...."

.....and still....none of that negates the validity of my sig. :)

I'd rather see the ability to shut off landed kills on the receiving end rather than the delivery end.  I like seeing what people are landing kills in, gives me an idea of what people are flying.  Plus I find people who are online who I wouldn't have known were online otherwise, and it's fun to wing-up! :aok
I'm Sector95 in-game! :-D

I do more often than you know (fun to try and ditch on the pad at a gv field). At the same time, it really isn't my nature. I flew 'em home and landed when it cost $6 per to play......old habits die hard. :)
