discussing the difference between the major breweries in the U.S. is like ......well.....

you guys don't have beer. sorry. nope nope nope.

bland, non-descript, i don't even think you let the mule-piss ferment.

oh i was just waiting for the first non-american to come in and make their smug remark, we know! we get it! but thats what we're discussing... it's what we've got to work with, all the small micro breweries are comparable to the rest of the worlds beer, not the major companies.

besides, americans like to party, can't drink that heavy stuff when you're binge drinking  :devil

Sam adams considered a major brewery?   If so most of their stuff is quite good. Kinda blows your whole theory out of the water now doesn't it?

The Bierstube I used to hang out at had Hacker-Pschorr on tap, a German Lager. It was like Mothers Milk it was so good. They also had a German Dark on tap, "cant remember the name", along with 4 or 5 other tap Bier brewed up in Germany. Best thing about the German Bars, at least back in the '70s, is they didnt care if you were to young to drink legal. I started drinking in this place when I was 16yo. At the time they had the largest selection of imports available in the city.

I quit drinking years ago but the Bierstube is still there in the old German neighborhood. You have to hand it to the bloody Hun. They are craftsmen when it comes to making beer.

They're not the oldest american brewery without reason, and they stayed true to their roots.  Best Beer for average consumption in my estimation.  There are better tasting imports and micros.... but this is my first choice.

Pass me a Lagaaa.

Followed by the best dark beer I think I've ever tasted.  Makes guinness from the draft taste like a crudona.

Yeah out of all my friends I'm the only one that really went for Stout beer. But I loved the dark beers or stout beers, even liked them warm. Now that there are so many micros, and so many incredable beers waiting to be discovered, its a really great time to be exploring new beers. Even the mass producers are going back to their roots in America and their original, 1st generation, methods of brewing beer.

I use to love visiting brewries because beer is never better then when its freshest.

Anything with "Bud"...ummm I meant to say "BUTT" in it as the first sound is garbage beer. It is useful for just one thing and that is pouring out on the dry ground.

I can't stand anything brewed that says Budweiser in the name of the beer.
