Ya Gotta Love Ted
« on: February 09, 2009, 07:25:46 PM »
Ted Nugent, rock star and avid bow hunter from Michigan, was being interviewed by a French journalist, an animal rights activist. The discussion came around to deer hunting.
The journalist asked, 'What do you think is the last thought in the head of a deer before you shoot him?  Is it, 'Are you my friend?' or is it 'Are you the one who killed my brother?'

Nugent replied, 'Deer aren't capable of that kind of thinking. All they care about is, what am I going to eat next, who am I going to screw next, and can I run fast enough to get away. They are very much like the French.'

The interview ended.

LoL, that's hilarious, I'd love to see video of that if it's available, just to see the expression on that French jerks face.

On a side note, my Uncle plays the drums in the only currently playing Ted Nugent tribute band in the U.S, there called "Stranglehold", check them out, I designed there website, they recently played at "The Cubby Bear" here in Chicago, it's directly across the street from Wrigley Field, anyone in Chicago knows this bar.

I love Ted, since I was a kid he has been one of my musical heroes.  One of the best shows I have seen, no fancy stage, lights, or effects.  Just Uncle Ted, his stack of amps and his big old Byrdland Guitar.  He just got inducted into the Bowhunting Hall of Fame as well.

My father, my mother, my Aunt & my Uncle went to a Ted Nugent concert at Solider Field here in Chicago back in 77, the concert was called "The Superbowl of Rock", it had Lynyrd Skynyrd, REO Speedwagon, Journey and 38 Special, well it was a really hot day and everyone had brought gallon milk jugs full of water, so when Ted took the stage all the people in the stands started throwing their milk jugs full of water towards the stage, and my Uncle was on the field, so when the milk jugs came flying towards the stage my Uncle got hit in the back of the head with an almost full jug of water, ended up getting a concussion. :rock

No video.  It was from an interview with a British print journalist.

If you haven't had the chance, read his book "God, Guns, and Rock 'n' Roll".  Very good read.  My father even read it.

Yes, thats true. Which is why I like Ted when he limits himself to hunting and outdoors causes. Its when he starts waving the flag and talking up the war that I cant stand him. The simple truth is Ted did everything possible to avoid serving his country. He's in no position to call the French, or anyone else for that matter, "cowards".
