So I guess the point of this thread is to institute a "side cap" and not an "arena cap", huh?  Do you want it so if the numbers are imbalanced in an arena, that anyone coming into said arena cannot join a side with more numbers than the othe two, and the system should automatically assign you to the lowest-numbered side and make it so you cannot switch for at least an hour.  So, if you only fly Rook, and Rook's outnumber Bish and Nit, you will be forced to join the lowest-numbered side - period.

Then you'd come here and whine about not being able to fly with the horde.

Something like that was tried before. You were added to a queue to wait for a spot on your team to open up. Check it out!

Look at your LW roster once in a while...there isn't anything in the game preventing gross side imbalances, but there are plenty of things that contribute to it.

Arena caps ARE a contributing factor, depending on time of day and population in the largest LW arena at the time.  Around noon CST, you can't even get into LW orange--and if you want to participate in the most popular arena (LW) you are stuck in blue.  If you fly knights....be prepared for grossly distorted side imbalances.  It's a fact.

     Maybe it's just me, but it sure seems like the complaints about ENY and maps
always seem to come from the landgrabbers.  I guess it's more important to have
numbers and a big map when you're trying to avoid actual ACM.  :lol

You know what it looks like to me.........  Knits have a 2.79 perk adjustment bonus.  Heck I have to wake up at 0600 to get a bonus like that.

And that's how they really are. Yesterday (Friday), I did some screenshots at intervals and put the numbers into a table





The 100 max cap was in effect for about one hour.


If you would raise the minimum CAP to 200 players, you would only postpone and amplyfy the problem, because the second arena would have taken longer to get toacceptable player numbers. In this case it would have taken more two hours, during which you would see 200 in Orange and like 50 in Blue. Please not that the max CAP in Orange would still be in place in thsi hypothetical example, as Blue would have to reach 140 players first before the caps would get dynamic again





The complaints would be the same: "WTF? 200 in Orange but 50 in Blue? Fix it! Why can't you even out the two Arenas?" ;)
