I can fully understand where "Whistling Death" came from. That's a DAMN frightening sound to hear even WITHOUT the .50cal blazing and bombs falling on your head.

Fabulous shots of the Corsair. :aok Boy imagine being some poor, skinny little, starving IJA soldier and seeing that monster diving in on you? The 0.50s must have been ferocious and that ain even counting the rockets, bombs, napalm...ect Its terrific to see some still flying.
