When I see a Spit and a Chog in a duel...

... I pick both, and climb back to 20k  :P

Well ill expain this long history

All my time in AH2 the 2 most seen planes ive encountered is an F4U or spitty and as far as i can make out in DA and in MA people make the decision Yank or non Yank

If they pick non yank they end up with a spit 9 if they pick yank they end up with a hog ( and sometimes a pony)

i also looked at the scores of tours Spits and hogs are always in Competition for the top spot

Perhaps the masses gravitate to the easier rides?  (The hog isn't easy to me, but some seem to make it look easy)

This must be the perspective of someone who primarily flies in the furball pond?

lmao

No picking and ho'n going on in Dweeb Lake.

oh wait...  that's all that is going on at Dweeb Lake.

My mistake!

And for the record, the place is for DUELING.  Hence the name Dueling Arena.

I would also add that unless someone from the LateWar arena shows up, you probably will never see either the Chog or the Spit 16 flown correctly if you are hanging out at Dweeb Lake.

You're limiting yourself if you only fly in the DA furball pond.  The quality of the opposition there is very, very low, and so you're not gong to receive proper feedback as to whether or not you're improving or making mistakes.

Sometimes I jump in for some quick action, and I see the same people in the same aircraft ho'ing and dying in exactly the same way that they were doing dweeby stuff 3 months before.

If I am in a situation where I am on the attack or to a base with a horde, I choose the C-hog.  Why?  I can conserve E better in a C-hog at higher altitude and instigate the fight and merge with E on my side.

In a base defense situation, I would go to the spit (5,8,9) because they are a little more agile in tight defensive situations and I like how they handle in lower altitudes.

I like both in different situations.

My 2 cents.

Gavagai has a point

I fly in MA quite alot but i also fly in DA.

DA is fun insane hilarious action and MA is just fight for your life. I like DA more but i still Do squad stuff in MA

Or you could grab an F4U-1A and have better speed agility and acceleration.  :D

Over the spit 5, 8?  The 1A is one of my favorites but IMO it does not handle like the spit 5,8 in certain situations such as low alt handling.
