PSL romanian sniper rifle
« on: February 24, 2009, 11:36:41 AM »
Are these rifles good shooters?  I found a place selling them for $799  with everything that comes with it.  All matching numbers,  I am just wondering if this would be a good buy.

Is that the Rumanian copy of the Druganov rifle? If it is (I've shot them, but we just called it a "Rumanian Druganov") it's a fair shooter and pretty reliable, but you have to be careful to only fire high quality ammo- stay away from the steel-cased rounds. The extractor likes to break on them.

BTW, nice avatar. Eureka Seven rocks (and Talho is the hottest anime chick on a regular series IMO.)  :aok

Treize (pronounced 'trays')- because 'Treisprezece' is too long and even harder to pronounce.

Is it local? You still in WV?
There must also be a flyable computer available for Nefarious to do FSO. So he doesn't keep talking about it for eight and a half hours on Friday night!

Not quite, but I do find myself stalking women who look like her (and I do actually know one who does)

If that is the same rifle then yes it is a fairly good one to shoot. Just follow the ammo advice listed above and BTW let me know where you got that price because I am now seriously interested.

Never mind that last question. I just found the site for them and I am ordering one today. I can't pass it up at that price.

Yep, they are located in NC.  Unfortunantly they dont do local pickups (I found that out at lunchtime)  because I was making a trip to NC  next weekend.  Btw I am still located in WV,  there is a local gunshop that I swear by now, ZMANS guns.  The gentleman that owns the shop is a good guy and has good prices.

And yes E7 is the stuff, have you heard that there is a movie slated to pick up right where the series left off.

I bought my WASR-10 from there. While I was in no means ripped off, he did feed me some stories. Be careful.

Have you heard of Appalachian Armory? Head out of East View like your going to Anmoore. Its actually a small building on a trailer before you get to Rt 58, past the Strip Club.

I'll give you his number tomorrow, I have it at work. He told me on the phone he would do $25 transer fees from Gunbroker. He also has a commercial on the radio, in the ad he says he has some sort of Trade-in Program. I was considering taking my two Mosins there and see If I could get another SKS or AK for cheap.

PSL = abrv. for romanian words > Pusca Semiautomata cu Luneta< ,in english would translate> Semiautomatic Riffle with Scope<
I did my mandatory military service in Romania, over 20 years ago, we used to have 2 snipers armed with PSL in every infantry platoon. I don't know if they still use it, at the time we were part of communist Warsaw Pact, 7.62 mm was standard caliber, in 2004 Romania joined NATO, maybe they retired the PSL that's why are on the market. Same like AK47 ,the PSL it's tough built, good range, heavy steel, not sensitive to dust and dirt, and watch the strong recoil.
