Let me just say that underestimating or thinking lesser of anyone based on race creed or color is a huge mistake.

never underestimate another human being, each and ever action taken should be watched and remembered, consider someone walking upto you, and poking you in the forehead, then going back into his house.

Each day, he would come out, poke you in your forehead, and go home, again..and again..and again, never saying a word, never giving a reason as to WHY.


Then one day he comes out and shoots you in the face, you are now dead.

In order to "intercept", they would be "spotted/showing on NORAD" (which did happen).    Maybe if you read more, your reading comprehension would increase.   Hey I know!  How about a "Chicken or the Egg?" argument from you?!!!

Don't get me wrong Ireland is an amazing  country, lot of history, castles, beautiful language.Some day i will get drunk and arrested on old soaked in history and blood Irish soil.
But strategically Ireland is pointless, believe me it is a good thing.

Intended course was to turn around and return to base as usual, nothing new.

Living in Iceland, which IS a strategically important location, this happens all the time and is hardly news. During the cold war, F-4's got scrambled all the time because of a "Bear" presense.
Then it stopped, but started again, and I'm not sure if it hits the news any more.
Both the Brits and the Norse have been scrambling jets as well.
Anyway, it was mentioned that the US fighters were late on the clock after being flown to pieces in past year's conflicts. While they indeed have many more hours than the "string-bagged" Russian aircraft, I tend to belive that they are built for it. And the hours, - very many of them come from training, since the U.S. keeps the bar there very much higher than the Russkies. Maybe higher than anybody?
Then there is more than the US steel facing the Russkies. The USA has allies and they have fighters too

Understanding how many Sr-71's flew over russia and ( probably still do) i could only figure it alright, you fly to our coast,and turn back, we fly over everything and everyone around the planet and land home safe and sound.

Your war ships move half was across the planet, and our satellites track every ship and plane that moves, your bombers give them self's away by flying low over a huge multi nation fleet of ships (Who do not have order to fire and are not at war time), while we do everything way up high, unknown to anyone but the men operating your radars, only to have any information shut out to your general public as too not allow anyone to know you have been bested.

You're regurgitating nothing that was said by me.   But thanks for trying to twist my words.  You chose one of about 12 definitions for the term presently in use.

Here's the proper definition regarding this issue:  Intercept (verb) - to intersect.   I don't even need a dictionary to know this KgB, keep working on the 2nd language.  My understanding of the English language is more than adequate.
