hmmm, funny you think of your own squad when someone mentions horde.  Hordes are where weak pilots hide.

The horde thing can be good and bad. I speak only for myself here.  I could care less if some pile-its want to go off in some corner of the map and take bases. One thing I find bemusing is that some hordes will vanish if they meet significant resistance and then pop up in another part of the map. That always makes me scratch my head. A base taken that is done so in a hard fought, pitched battle would be a sweeter fruit plucked than one taken in an NOE in BFE... IMHO.

To me the horde is just a bunch of opportunities in one place. There is some strange behavior in the horde sometimes though. When I approach a horde who is capping a base, I always wonder what the two or three guys up at 15 to 20k are doing. I'll cruise on in at 6 or 8 k and get some kills, then leave when I run out of ammo. Lots of times those high guys don't even seem to be aware of me.  Maybe they fall asleep while in orbit.

If I were leading the horde, I'd tell the guys to leave the base intact. It would be more usable that way and heck, a few guys just might roll to offer a good, fun fight. Why do the hordes, mindlessly flatten everything??

I will admit the one thing that makes me nuts is when some lone bomber stick ups a formation and takes down the hangars of the guys who are just having fun furballing. You  know the guy, he has no intention of taking the base.. he somehow thinks he is grand because he griefs 30 or so people. I'll admit this chaps my hide. I'm weak that way.

I agree with you there, they take a base NOE and just leave, maybe leave a gv or two in town till it pops, but you said about hordes being alot of oppurtunities in one place, you kinda got to read your own countries horde I sometimes upa pony/ bnz plane to hit the next base they will probably be hitting alot of times you get like 3-4 guys who are trying to come over the top and it turns into a good fight

I sincerely admire your piloting ability, but your rhetoric needs to be toned down Sir.  I am not sure how you formed this opinion, but I fail to see how your constant unsubstantiated attacks on the POTW are good for the community or upping the level of gameplay.  It only contributes to the slum as you say.

True but think of it this way, when we "oink" we probably dont spam half as much as when people say the same thing about gameplay decline which some people dont like to hear just like those of you who dislike us oinking.

Channel 2 is not optional.  I cannot be detuned or squelched, nor should it be.  There is no comparison what so ever between a random comment from a player on the optional 200 channel, and 8-10 lines (including the one who landed) of scrolling country channel everytime one of your squadies landed 2 kills!  Your squad refuses to be considerate of your fellow contrymens open channel, so why would anyone give the benefit of the doubt when it comes to gameplay?  It is disruptive to comms, and a number of knights automatically just squelch any animal noises they see when they log on.  But they shouldn't have to do that.  HTC has already said your squads spamming of country channel is "a bit over the top".
