Yeah, because we know the history of Christianity has set SO much better of an example. You know, what with the Inquisition and torture and stake-burnings and all.

This is why I follow NO religion. The whole lot is nothing but a gang of hypocrites looking down their noses at every other religion and ignoring the reality of their own faith.

Their is an old saying and it comes from the Bible. "Don't judge another man until you walk a mile  in the shoes"

In not too many years they (compassionate Muslims) will be a voting majority in your country, and you won't be able to do squat about it. Being nice to many folks in this world is just putting forth weakness, which they will laughingly exploit

It ain't about colour.  I know plenty of black, brown and all shades in between and I don't see colour as an issue.  I even dated a half-Jamaican girl, sure my Grandmother was spinning in her grave but it's still not about colour.

It's not even about religion, you can say it is and the extremists will say it is but, again, I know plenty of Muslims who're fine people.  I used to work with a guy who wore the full noddy suit all the time, spoke with the strongest Gloucester accent you can imagine (imagine farmer Giles).  Great bloke.  He used to tell me his cousin (girl) would wear the full birka all the time and whenever he could he'd make oriental noises at her and shout "Hoooooaaar Ninja!"

The thing that everyone in this thread is forgetting is that Islam doesn't have a monopoly on those intolerant extremists. We STILL have whack-jobs running around in white bedsheets while burning crosses on people's lawns.

We don't have any of them down here anymore. Think they all moved North.

I remember about 15 years ago we had 3 of them standing on Main Street here in Springhill [small town of about 8,000 in north Louisiana] and watching all the teenagers drive by laughing and yelling at them. They didn't stay too long.

I suspect that these are same folks who think driving a bus full explosives into a crowded market and kill as many as they can is justified? These brave "Tommies" deserve to get the full honor they deserve period.

I always get a kick from some of my fellow Americans who love to paint our mistakes in the past as if they are still happening today, justice has a funny way of emerging just ask the indians in Oklahoma who were put on "useless" land that was one of the biggest oil fields in America.  I can't seem to remember when the Christains last beheaded a daughter or wife for some religious infraction, but then we can always drag up the inquisition even tho that happened hundreds of years ago.
