They do this every single time there is a new American president, flex their mussles, make demands, keep pissing people off until those demands are met.  Then they shutup, go away, and sell more soviet-era technologies/secrets they inherited to other nutzo countrys (IE: Iran).

Honestly, I'm not more concerend about N. Korea because of this than I was when I first learned about modern-day N. Korea.  And I doubt N. Korea will actualy launch anything unless one of the major world powers doesn't cough up some money or "humanitarian aid" for their collapsing country.  IMO we should just ignore them until they finaly jsut piss off China (and as far as I'm concerned, if they want ot take over N. Korea, China can't possibley make things any worse than they are now).

And think about this, what was the last thing, besides the Bejing Olympics, that got America's diplomatic "attention" in that part of the world.  I remember a few years ago China's space agency was kicking into high gear and our country wasn't very happy about all the stuff they were shooting up and high into the sky.  So now it's about that time (every 4 or 8 years) for N. Korea to make a new stink to get Obama's attention, and what is it that they're doing?  Picking something they know got our attention in that part of the world recently and picking something that they are 99% sure China will either support them in what they're doing or keep their mouths shut about it and let them continue to push our button until we give N. Korea something they want.

North Korea is a pariah state (excuse me for the stating the obvious for those who already understand this).
They use their military to pick vegetables.  The average
North Korean is dwarfed due to malnutrition..  They depend almost entirely on foreign aid to feed their population.
You won't see them getting anything more than they already get(and possibly less) because they divert funds to their military,
(which is in shambles) as well as excesses for high-party officials.
The North Korean military is a joke as well..  They are not allowed to fire bullets in training..  There is no fuel to drive/fly their
outdated soviet hardware and their pilots hardly fly at all (I've read estimates of 25 hours per year).  This regime exists
to glorify one despotic man..  Almost the entire country is full of peasants that don't know any better but to worship this man and
his father as deities.

North Korea knows the position they are in a perfect position.  They are buffer between the rest of the world and
China..  China enjoys that buffer..  That's the problem..

Japan is not happy with the imminent launch of their "satellite" and has threatened to shoot down anything that comes from North Korea that comes within 75 miles of their airspace..
And Japan would literally crush them if they were allowed..  Not sure if the JDF is allowed to attack to protect itself..  But if they are, they would have no qualms about putting the SmackDown on North Korea..
I like classy, beautiful, intelligent woman that say the "F" word a lot....

More afraid of the "this is the end of the world" types getting everyone all spun up. Some people want to claim prophecy some people  carry m240s. Take your pick. Didn't N. Korea do something like this in the past over some nuke plant they took apart and then started putting it back together because they wanted to get their way about something not too long ago?

NK will lie, threaten and avoid the truth to achieve their wishes.  Always been that way with Kim, Il Sung and now Kim, Jung Il.  NK has helped Iran in missle developement since 1983.  But your Goverment won't tell you that because you can't handle the truth.

11 1/2 Years in South Korea.  cull the herd.

China won't jump in this time...it's the money that holds them back.  NK has no money except the crap they print as counterfeit American dollars.  Famine is the thing kickin their tulips right now. China has blocked most of the trade border with NK.

I say we blow the missle outta the sky.  Then call their card.

Each Year we have two exercises "Ulchi Focus Lens" and "Team Spirit"..this has been going on for 15-18 Years. They know it, we know it...diddly the bastards.

If NK attacks they lose soon...then ROK has to pick them up and rebuild NK... Sounds familiar?

Hint: FRG and DDR add a lil CZ to it also.

Your right but thats what NK is waiting for, they need a strong power(China) to delay the US so they can hit South Korea. the north and south are both having lots of problems economically compared to most to the world

The Prez is going to fly Air Force One into Pyongyang and buy Kim a Coke.  They will hug, shed a few tears and there will be peace in our time.
