WANTED: fighter pilots, for combat in North Africa
« on: March 22, 2009, 03:06:14 AM »
The upcoming Tunisia scenario (an Aces High special event) needs more fighter pilots.  The groups needing pilots get one life in the Bf 109G-2 and one life in the Stuka.  There are also Bf 110C-4b pilots needed.

The fun starts March 28th -- in one week.

If interested, more information and a link to registration is available here:

Actually, the group needing 109 pilots will have one life in the Bf 109G-2 and one life in the C.202 (i.e., no Stukas).

By the way, the Bf 109G-2 that SF3 and I are standing in front of in the picture flew combat in North Africa.  Based on diary of pilot Heinz Lüdemann of 8/JG77, this one flew a sortie in North Africa in November, 1942 against SAAF Bostons escorted by US P-40's, during which he got into a fight with the P-40's.

We need some virtual Heinz Lüdemanns to join us in this scenario!

Registration closes on Monday, so time is running out.

Please check it out and register soon.  Your Bf 109 or Ju 88 awaits you for combat in North Africa.  :aok

I do not see any "Rising" on the registration page.  What names did you use for your ahevents profile?  Or what is your game ID?

I see your name on the list.  Brooke or Bearkats should give you access to the Axis forum in a few days.

The practice frame is this Saturday.  Then in 2 weeks, the battle begins, for 4 Saturdays.

Good luck Rising.

The Allies are now filled up with no more slots available for registration.

The Axis still have room for a few Ju88s and 109s.

Also, talk with Bearkats about the XO slot that is available on the axis before selecting that position.  I believe Dantoo is the XO, and so if you choose that position, you may be put in another squad as a pilot.
