Question about water in coming updates
« on: March 23, 2009, 05:30:53 PM »
Some of my squad mates are concerned that their PC's won't have the ability to support the upcoming change to how water will be displayed. If this is "active motion" water, will there be a switch for them to disable the motion in deference to system overhead on their PC's?

This is like the old joke that voters are harsher to their beer brewer if he has an outage, than their politicians after raising their taxes. Death and taxes are certain but, fun and sex is only now.

That's the way they usually do it. HTC is very big on keeping the game playable for the most people they can.... more subscriptions of course. The last time they tried a new water effect it was switchable.... and most switched it off right away  :O  it was a bit hard on the eyes.

I will probably not be able to handle this either but I am rebuilding my computer this april. For everyone that might have the same problem of an outdated comp, I'd recommend amazon.com. You need really 3 parts. Motherboard, processor, power supply. All are dirt cheap. For about 150 bucks I will be getting a quad cor working by april with amazon/newegg.com. If you do not know how to pull apart these parts in your current build, that would be a problem  :P You can jump on wikipedia/forums/youtube and will be able to learn quite easily. Just thought id mention it for anyone who might be thinking about straight off the bat buying a new computer for 400 - 500 bucks.
