STOCK HSF vs AFTERMARKET HSF

i been using my stock HSF with my X2 7750 and i just got a new OCZ vendetta and it dropped the temp nearly 20 degrees celsius  was idle at 38 and with the new HSF its idle at 18

I have about 10C on my CPU.
Actually I can't really say anything, my sensors are broken (Brisbane core CPU).  Is funny to watch the temps say -10C per core when I make it cold in here though.

The OCZ Vendetta 2 was the Heatsink and Fan Editors Choice for 2008 on three different sites.  I use the Vendetta 2 on 90% of my builds and have been preaching the use of this HSF for several months here in the forum.  If anyone is interested in getting one of these let me know.  Can save you monies over the retail and newegg price of 49.95

i looked at the scores and the vendetta actually did better then the vendetta 2  93mm vs 120mm fans . i found that odd but like what its doing for me now

Here is a real world test results using the same fan on each http://benchmarkreviews.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=153&Itemid=1&limit=1&limitstart=5  LOL when I make a statement I can back my info up.  The Vendetta 2 cooled 6 1/2 degrees cooler then the Vendetta.  This is also proven on OCZ's own website and their tests.

My local MicroCenter has about 80 Vendetta's that they can not get rid of, with this in mind they can not keep the Vendetta 2's in stock and OCZ has they in the negative numbers for warehouse stock.  The Vendetta's were on sale at Microcenter (non advertised) for 15.99 a week ago Saturday, I think they now have 79

The first line of the REVIEW "Today we’re looking at the first second generation direct contact heatsink to arrive in the bit-tech labs, the OCZ Vendetta 2. The original..."  This review was done in Aug 08 in Oct 08 OCZ released a redesigned heatpipe on the contact point.  It runs circles around the Vendetta.  I have a Q9550 OCed to 3.8 on the vendettta 2 idle at 24 to 28 ambient temp 68 ~ 70  under full load per Real Temp 2.70 its about 42.  Using OCCT under full stress load it get to 46 to 48.

I installed an Arctic Freezer 7 Pro and it dropped my temps 10-15C.  Not bad for under $30.

My E6750 is OC'd to 3.2 Ghz running 45C under full load on both cores.

I'm not 100% positive (at work) but IIRC vcore is set at 1.365.

Not sure how it might be figured in the calculations for a HSF, but it's interesting to compare the thermal conductivity of different materials.  This is from WebElements:

values are in Watts per Meter per degree Kelvin
