Perhaps the pilot was describing a bad cross wind landing? Bout the only time I ever heard of having to use full rudder on landing.

That was one of the most fun rides I have had. Three G'g +, and floating after a pull-up to a wing over dive... :-)

And that lovely sound on take off.....

The pilot said it flew "like a damm big fighter" with the control forces and ballance being better than any other big twin he had flown.
