I recently Just got enough perks to fly the 262 after playing for a year...Changing name once. I'm not going to fly it until i reach 1000 perks where...If I do get shot down...Which I know i will....It Won't have that much of an Impact. I do fly it offline though. Make sure there are no hills or trees in your way wile taking off.

You won't get shot down.  Someone will HO you, knock out an engine and half your control surfaces and you will make a miraculous flight back to base, find it very difficult to slow down, finally get your gear down, get on the runway, overshoot the end and hit a tree, thereby ditching and losing your perk points.

What Lusche said.  You can single handedly have a big effect on a furball just by holding up the stream of incoming fighters at their base for 5-10min.

That brings up some fun memories.
One time I was able to save a totally capped base. Not by shooting anyone down (fighters aware of your presents are no easy targets) but by flying low and slowing down just enough that they got the impression they could catch me - and most of them (about 10-12) indeed followed me, allowing  my countrymen to up and break the cap and get the M3's at town, while I felt like the Pied Pieper of Hamelin ;)  No better thing working for you than the enemy's greed
One or two kills at most but I almost laughed my butt off...

I've done that before. You get the plane so you look slow, but in reality you're going fast enough to outrun, and they try to catch you.

262's are fun i don't care who ya are.  You get every plane in the sector chasing after you thinking they can catch ya.  Then it goes out that there is a 262 in X.X sector at 10k and next thing ya know there are 15k-20k ponies everywhere.

I got really good at flying and landing without wing tips.  Could atleast get back and land using rudder and throttle.

All my kills of Me262s are of Me262s that thought it was a good idea to HO my Mossie.  I usually die too, but it is worth it to get rid of the negative affects on my side's fighting qualities an Me262 inflicts just by being there.

Curious....  Once I got behind this guy, a quick burst removed his tail, smoked both engines, and spilled his fuel....
I think most will consider this "shot down".. :D

Don't think I've flown a 262  in about a year.

Had a guy buzzin a base with one the other night, so I decided to up one at a nearby base to intercept.

I flew maybe 1/2 a sector over water and directly into the ack of an unseen enemy cv.

Instant death.

God, I love usin that plane! :rock

Absolutely! :aok  I routinely try to do the same thing by BnZ'ing the enemy field with a Dora. I still can't shoot like you guys can, but I can usually distract 4-5 enemies for a few minutes. Now if I could just get my countrymen to push towards the enemy field instead of furballing 300ft over ours.
