Born and raised in the Milwaukee area and I didn't understand a word of that :rofl You sure he wasnt from the U.P. of Michigan???

No sir, that is authentic Cudahy gibberish, including the ever-present "aynahey" at the end of every sentance.

RJ on the old Rock 97 morning show in the early 80's used to poke fun of it and so did the guy at the Hale's Corners radio comedy service.  I used to do it on B-97 and WISN-AM when I worked there.

If I remember right, so did some of the WKLH folks did too back in the day...get 'em on the phone and let 'em rip a few sentances of in Cudahyese...hilarious stuff.

If you live in Burlington, Kenosha, Elkhorn or in the Kettle Moraine area---$10 bucks says ya never heard it.

When in Burlington--

The chocolate factory is a MUST SEE!  :aok   (Free samples!)

It's directly across the road from the SOD FARM--a MUST SEE!  (Free grass clippings!)

On your way home--stop at The Brat Stop at Hwy 50 and I-94.  AWESOME brats to take home and about 100 different cheeses.  They might even have "Cheddarhead" hats too!  If they have Boetjes Mustard, buy all you can get your hands on.  It beat Grey Poopon and over 100 other mustards in last year's international mustard competition.

I remember B97 but I never listened to it, did you do the morning show??. This might have gone on the air after you left town but Bob and Brian used to do the "yaderhey" bit on the Lazer 103 morning show. They would do it when making fun of the Green Bay locals during their All My Children spoof called All My Packers. It was some really funny stuff.

NO, I did late nights at the B after I got off from doing evenings at XL102 Waukegan/Chicago.  I did help write some stuff for the morning show, but that was after RJ had already left.  That was wayyyyy early in my career (1986)--morning show stripes didn't come for another 6 years later in Raleigh/Durham.

The guy who did most of the voice work for the Lazer 103 guys was the owner of the comedy service in Hales Corners.  He was good.

he still does the voice work... now "the Hog" but I think I told you that already...

ready for a kicker?

94 WKTI changed format AND name! they're now "Lake FM" and play all sorts of weird stuff, their motto is "you'll never know what we'll play next". it's like a mix of 70's rock, 80's pop, and obscure songs in between.

B97 was ok, but WLPX was better :aok

and who remembers Z95?

Genetically engineered in a lab, and raised by wolverines -- ]V[ E G A D E T ]-[
AoM DFC ZLA BMF and a bunch of other acronyms.

The days of the perrenial 18 and 20 share 12+ ratings for KTI are long over.  Expect that "Lake" moniker to only last a book or two until the real planned format is debuted.  In radio-speak it's called "cleansing of the palate".  Remember the short-lived "Heartbeat 101"?  Same kind of deal.

B97 was designed to take KTI head-on in the 18-34 female demo as well as 12+...the Hearst's decided that there was a hole in the market for a elevator music station for the 40+ demos and switched a year later...surrenduring the 12+ numbers to KTI.  For a main stream CHR (based on Chicago's B96 start-up back then) the music was dead on for a Top 40---but it was Top 40.  Actually, 97-WZOK in Rockford sounded just as good.

WLPX was the schnizznitz :aok  I always felt that Brewtown never had a really good Rock station after that.  Lazer was ok...but the on-air guys were terrible, sleepy, "that was--this is--" and reading more off the CD cover than actually bothering to know their craft.

It's a shame how radio has become now--with all the Mega-Owners destroying everything.  Stations in big markets that had huge ratings got bought up but the mega owners and instead of live talent--it's the age of syndication, the satallite dish, and stale voice tracking.  Their ratings have plumeted.  Listeners went away and found more entertainment with CDs and M3 players.

God I hated KTI. When I worked for Lynch on Friday afternoons all you could hear was WKTI's flashback fridays bad 80s pop music coming out of everybodys shop radio. You can only deal with so much Wham before it starts to get to you. I quit after 5 years :aok

I dont really remember Z95, they must have played bad 80s pop music too. I was more of a 93QFM guy, they played bad 80s hair metal :rock
