First of all Brad, <S> and be safe brother. Done three trips to Iraq myself both as active duty Air Force, and as a civilian with the USMC.
Ciaphas,
Were you in the Air Force? I'm just asking because in the AF they crammed OPSEC down our throats all the time, but I've found working with the Marines for the last 3 years that they really don't teach them much about OPSEC. It was a real culture shock the first time I was deployed to Iraq with the Marines and I saw the stuff they were putting on their myspace pages. The military has been trying to crack down on this stuff lately. There was a proposed rule sometime last year that said all service members had to have their blog entries screened by public affairs before they could be posted... I don't think that one ever stuck.
Either way, I'm not going to jump into the argument here, it's just that whenever I hear someone get highly upset about potential OPSEC violations, I immediately think Air Force! Not saying it's wrong, I just find it amusing.
