As a rule I think all newbies should have a yellow bar under their name/icon, and should be identified in the text buffer in some way.
Yesterday this guy kept saying he was in an lvt bringing troops, and after 30minutes I realised he was floating about ten miles off shore... and probably mentaly handicapped.

Perhaps a self distruct for anyone who straifs the indestructable more than 3 times in a row...

LOL, "somone keep these guys off of me!!" he finaly made it to shore , though tragicly the nme saw fit to destroy his lvt......., then he upped another one......TARD

A shining example of one of our community's finest.  Way to go Stephen, you are a pillar that helps support this community and a shining example on how we should treat new players.

Why?  There are noobs who suck...  Vets who suck...  Not to mention vets who are tools...  Why stroke their ego?  They stroke it themselves enough.

I see no value in labeling new players.  In fact, I think it is simply asking to have the channel 200 warriors harrass the new guys until they quit the game.
Yeah, some of those vets have hot dates with their egos and their right hands. [cough]DrDeath[/cough]

Perhaps we should go the other way, and have people that can be trusted to help have a special icon?   Would make it easier on the new people.  Maybe even have a ch thatafter a set time only the trusted mentors can access, perhaps 30 day.

I like the idea of marking 2 weekers to friendlies only. That way he isnt a target an can be given help.I am all for helping the new guys as we all were new and needed help. These guys make good squaddies, worthy opponents and a good community member.I know people that have played for a couple of years an still learning. This game has a huge learning curve an helping people should be our goal and not slamming them as it does no good at all except maybe running off a future great player.
been there destroyed that

Who decides about which players are "trusted"... and what does that mean anyways?

The way I see it, if you have a problem with noobs not doing what you want them to do, just do things your self.

Did you ever get killed by the same guy twice in a row? Take off fly for a few min, get shot down, take off fly for a few min, and get shot down again.
If not perhaps one of these kind gentleman would provide you with such an example.

Id rather there be a training program that you would have to complete before being allowed to play on line. It would really cut down on the new guys coming into an arena and typing "HOW DO I TAKE OFF!!!11!!!" or "HOW DO I MAKE MY CAR GO!!!!1!!!1".
