My parents have scrubbed their two tier deck with a commercial floor scrubber and a hose. They use CFW every two years. The deck is 21 years old and still looks new.
I've used CWF as well. Its a pretty good product as well.
Superdeck Around here until pretty recently was hard to find. and I've only used it a few times in the last few years.
But every single time I have. I've been nothing short of impressed. Leaves a beautiful even finish and applying it is a snap.
Lately because of the mandatory reformulation to meet VOC compliance all my old standby's have fallen far short of expectations. Both in quality of the finished product, and ease of application.
As I'm telling my customers. One good thing about NJ is we have some of the toughest V.O.C. compliance laws in the nation.
The bad thing about NJ is..We have some of the toughest V.O.C. compliance laws in the nation. And alot of the paint and most notably the staining products are suffering because of it.
I've had to completely swear off of any of Ben Moores oil based stains because its become just too much of a pain to apply. And the finished product doesnt meet my standards. So I've gone from being (grudgingly) willing to comply with a customers specific product request(I've never been uber impressed with Benjamin Moores stains to begin with) to outright refusing to use that product.
But Superdeck is the best I've ever used. And I've used most of them. Heh, I remember when Olympic was considered a top of the line stain. Now most contractors I know including myself think of it as garbage.
CWF isnt bad but you have to really make sure its stirred up well and that you keep stirring it every once in a while. If you dont. You may find one end of your deck to be a different color then the other end. And you really have to make sure you dont get any puddling. especially on pressure treated decks
While this is true with all stains. Its not as true with superdeck. Its actually stayed mixed. And puddling was minimal at worst.
And application is near foolproof.
A house I did a couple of years ago using Moores stain I couldnt prevent lap marks no matter what I did. including literally walking the entire length of the boards. The can recommends a second coat only after 24 hours. I found that to make the home presentable I had to put a second coat on right away. Waiting till the next day only got me more lap marks.
With Superdeck I wasnt able to get lap marks even by trying. No matter what I've done to put it through its paces. I've only ended up with a fantastic finish.
I cant say that about any other product I've used
