The loss of Eagle has been a blow.  He, as much as anyone, was the heart and soul of our squad.  He always had great affection for all aspects of Aces High and Air Warrior before that.

I am deeply touched by the expression of sympathy from our AH friends.  What a fine group of people.

Eagle was the guy who kept track of everything. Squaddie has a birthday? Eagle was there to announce it to the squad, always a funny little email with some sort of GIF in it, like alligators playing musical instruments and a shapely female dancing. Running some sort of scenario, or a weekly event? Eagle was there to keep track of every pilot and statistic. Nice charts in the emails. Who was "OO" for squad night? Eagle knew.

Always greeting any squaddie who logs on immediately. Always helping to organize anything going on.

Great stories, too, from decades of service. Always something interesting.

And always looking out for and thinking about the guys in the squad.

Yeah, Eagle was the anchor of the 327th, no doubt. I haven't flown much, lately. And even less with the squad. But I already miss him.
