More like, you'll put enough rounds into the tracks to steal the kill from a tanker.
Hate when that happens, you give the tank a direct hit and it blows but you get an assist.  :furious
Ticks me off... I only do it when VH is down and friendly GV's need some help.

Spitfire with 20mm is also capable of knocking a tank, maybe not demolishing, but stopping. Sooner or later he'll leave the tank, and it'll be your kill.

If you're in a GV and you spot an enemy tank and you get a direct hit and kill it, it gives you an assist because some pilot shot the tank with enough firepower to immobilize it AND give it enough damage that it is (which it shouldn't be) rightfully, his kill.

His emotion was because you suggested how to do it, then you said you hate it when that happens...hypocritical basically.

Only a minor correction: A pilot (and to a lesser extend a GV driver) can get the kill credit for a tank even without having it immobilized or having it noticeable damaged in any other way.

Not really, you only 'assisted' the tank in killing it. Either way, continuing to strafe after the tank is tracked to ensure you get the kill is...

Ok thanks guys, I thought so about the supplies, and PFactor, I am a crazy nut, if enemy air power can knock me down but not before I drop, then I'll fly. Even if there is a 70% chance of making it I will fly in there. if I fly in there in a bomber then I might get shot down two, and If an AT gun or mortars or AT troops make it to the ground then my mission is over, where as with a bomber, you will want to linger in the combat zone. And where you guys say they will leave the tank, I have seen some crazy suckers man the .50, or whatever is on their tank, untill ammo runs dry, even the bow gunner, and if they can hit out tanks, but ours can't hit them then they might still man the turret, I know I would.
