Eurovision... who will win
« on: May 09, 2009, 01:27:59 PM »
I am not the fan of Eurovision, but stumbled on some of the material which will be there.
IMHO victory should go to the Norse.

Can't get the bloody song out of my head. Argghhhh!!!
It was very interesting to carry out the flight trials at Rechlin with the Spitfire and the Hurricane. Both types are very simple to fly compared to our aircraft, and childishly easy to take-off and land. (Werner Mölders)

when is the crack pot event on?

i've always had an interest in watching it for some bizarre reason.  Its all rigged by them nothing Balkan / eastern european states.  a bit pointless but i do like seeing some of the weirdos performing.

Its like a classy britains got talent/ X factor combination.

Looks like the audio is out if sync. Pretty good tune. What is Eurovision anyway? Some kind of talent show? Europe only?

I'm not sure what you mean by that; according to wikipedia (i.e. add salt) the last five years Russia, Ukraine and Serbia have won the contest (+ Finland and Greece).

Last year (or was it the year before?) there was a minor medial outrage in Germany about how the central and eastern European countries are "cheating" and winning by voting for each other only.
Then someone took the time to compile a new chart counting only the western European votes.
The same title won.  :lol

BTW... this years German entry is featuring Dita van Teese...

Youtube had a better variant, but I couldn't find it when I posted.
Anyway, good tune, and the lad wrote it himself AFAIK.

Terry Wogan isn't commentating in the UK this year so i doubt i'll watch it, he was very cynical. :)

I didn't have a clue who was representing the UK.  I just checked, the girl is a decent singer, but the song doesn't do anything for me.
