I'm not sure Dux is going to like being called Mother. That weather may end up far stormier then you had in mind.  :rofl
Easy in-game again.

Its a Really good Scenario Ponyace ... We've just been waiting for the right time to rerun it.

most likely we will adjust the planeset, ships and Bribe Mother nature into some Cool weather effects...

Re-reading the rules and I can see all sorts of odd, but interesting to me missions:

  • The emulated sub-duty deep water spawn
  • Flying long range land based recon
  • Being a Task Group commander not in charge of air operations

If I was forced to fly an attack aircraft I would opt for the dive bombers...

But the strange stuff sounds great...especially slinking around in the ocean invisible to the enemy and shadowing a carrier group reporting its location, speed, heading and aircraft activity around it...

Running one of the carrier groups...also sounds great...while I drink beer in a 5 inch gun and let you fighter types do the dirty work... :rofl

To bad we can't crank up the winds to like 25 Knots from 0 to 20 feet and throw in some white caps and wave action...

Ready for submerged ship duty....When do we start?

1Way

By the way....does anyone have the old map sets and spawn points from the first run?

Here ya go, Oneway.
A direct link to download the map.

Remember, it needs to be placed in the TERRAIN file in the AH file under your C-drive.

That is, of course, assuming you have a PC. Not sure how Mac's do it.

Check this out, it has the original design and Brooke's AARs.

I wish I had saved my AARs from the Scenario board. Flying as the VT-5/VT-I Squad Leader four years ago was the absolute best time I have had in Aces High. I guess it was all the hard work that we put in during the lead up. I don't k now about Zulu, but for Team Alpha, the Torpedo planes were instrumental to all of our planning and operations. We enjoyed a staggering success in the lowly Kates! Of course after the first two frames, Zulu was pretty demoralized. But it was awesome watching the "worst planes in the game" punch the enemy in the face.

I wish there were a way that I could actually fly in this scenario, but I know that I won't be able to. Wife ack knocked me out a few years ago, and given that I'll be off with the National Guard for a good bit of the Summer, there's no way I can redeem any of my Honey-do points. But man, I would love to climb back into that Kate for one more round with the hated round-eyes!

For Coral Sea, before we get that, a much higher priority would be the TBD.
