Douglas B-42 Mixmaster
It would have been bombing the snot out of the Axis if the war had continued into late 1945.

Ah, the "Mixmaster"

In late 45-46 it would have been the B-43, the jet version of the same.

I'm not kidding.
I love all this "Secret Weapons of the Luftwaffe" or "Luftwaffe 1946" stuff because they show all these neato drawing board planes fighting against Mustangs or Fortresses.  What they forget is that the US had planes on the drawing board or in prototype stage that would have whipped the "Secret Weapons" just like the Mustangs etc. whipped the 109s and 190s.

Oh, Funked! You're in the soup now!

You just can't say stuff like that!
If ye love wealth better than liberty, the tranquility of servitude than the animated contest of freedom, go from us in peace. We ask not your counsels or arms. Crouch down and lick the hands which feed you. May your chains sit lightly upon you, and may posterity forget that you were our countrymen!
